Doesnt matter who wins, and we all live and accept bad officiating, but good god this is the worst officiated game I can remember. Horrible!

they’re letting them play.... Wisconsin wanted to make this a rugby match and the officials let them.... seems like they’re calling it the same both ways though

This is criminal. Boroski and his crew aren't good by HS standards. This is how brawls start.
In the span of about a minute Davison had two dirty plays. First pulled Keagan down from behind as he was shooting, then the hook and hold. Officials seemed to not love either call but given Davison’s history it just can’t be a coincidence that he is constantly involved in plays like this.
Two hook and holds by Davison on consecutive plays and he was still in tbe game.
This officiating crew is the worst in the country. Borowski and Green should be fired.
I’ve said before I don’t know much about Basketball.... I wrestled.... but it seems to me it was a physical game called the same both ways ..... and no not drunk yet but will be by the time the BIG wrestling tournament is over today 😎

Clown fans are sure the refs gave the game to the Hawks. Yep when the refs aren’t stealing games from the clowns they are giving games to the Hawks.

There’s certainly contact with JBo’s hands as he catches and shoots. They let a lot more go beyond calling that though. Probably the most unfortunate Wisc got with the officiating.
Too much play stoppage and the officials were not on their A game the officiating didn't seem particularly targeted at either team. Bucky fouls almost every defensive and loose ball play and they let Iowa do much the same. Luka just clubbed a Bucky a couple of times. They did Iowa a solid with that crazy double foul, head shot foul.
There seems to be a trend to open the game is emerging and that is bad for teams like Bucky and Sparty. Bucky has been doing that hook and hold for years. The cylinder call is another. Iowa is going to need such officiating next year because the boys will want a broad open floor when they have the ball.

the game needs to be cleaned up
there needs to be an NCAA Officiating Division that oversees all officials
and the rules need to be enforced on a consistent basis

Yeah, Trice had ahold of JoBo's arm. That's why the ref called a foul. And that's how WI plays defense all the time so there was surprise when Bo called the foul. His mistake.

Yep. It was a foul. He grabbed Bohannon's arm as he was fighting around the screen. Pretty obvious.
There aren't even NCAA officials per se. They are afraid to hire them as permanent. I think the time has come to create an official team of officials that are at least seasonal. Most work other jobs already but this would allow for more oversite and hopefully better and more consistent calls. As it is, the crews call the games so differently that the teams often take about half the game trying to see how it will be called.
Some players/teams do it more frequently. Davison is a prime example in that he did it 2 plays in a row. It needs to be called.

Exactly. Just enforce the rules of the game. There are constantly coaches out of box and on court.
I don't necessarily have a problem with the rule but i do have a problem with stopping the game over and over again to watch a slowmo replay to determine if one happened. Similar to how i feel about targeting in football if it doesn't look like a flagrant in game speed then it shouldn't be just because you stopped to watch it in slowmo from 5 different angles.
This is how Wisky plays, and Davison should be tossed in most games. That said, I prefer the officials trying to let the guys play. It's hard to do with teams like Wisky and MSU, who just don't stop fouling. Fortunately, the officials have had Davison's number the past couple of years, and if it had been anyone but him hooking Keegan, I'm not sure that gets called. I still puzzled by what Keegan did to get his call, except get hooked. I also thought the ball under the basket was off of JBo, but it was very close.
I don't know if the clown fans know bad officiating or not but they sure know what bad playing looks like. 0-18
Refs don't have to steal games from the clowns.
