Something every American can agree on: Headlights are too bright.

Or behind you. The idiots with the lifted trucks blind you the most, due to the high/angle of the beam.

And my car has an $800 rear view mirror with "self-dimming" technology and the Homelink crap I never use.

It does not have the lever to dim manually, and the auto-dim isn't dim enough. Been meaning to get the back window tinted darker because of this.

It has nothing to do with the height, illustrated by your ommission of semi tractor trailers.

They usually keep a safe distance behind you and not often behind you in the drive thru either. Has everything to do with how the beam is projected and I rarely run into semis with such concentrated beams

The aftermarket headlamps guys are even worse.

It's the angle Sal...it's the angle.

Until a few years ago government regulations prevented headlight technology that would adapt the beams to the surroundings from being implemented in the US.

I was driving home from work last night at like 1130 and a semi had those blue bulbs that people had like 10 years ago and lights all over his rig. From far away it looked like cop lights and as he came at me it looked like he was brighting the shit out of me. That shouldn't be ok.

When you get older, the glare is a bitch as well.
