I tried to watch a few episodes and just couldn’t go any further
Buddy of mine was into it, said was pretty good but have never watched, will someday.
I actually consider it one of the better series I’ve seen. Solid ending which many don’t have.
It is Yellowstone, before Yellowstone. Bunch of dudes riding around killing other dudes to keep their business alive while having dysfunctional relationships with the women in their lives.

Much like Yellowstone, there just weren’t any characters you could like and root for because all of them were such horrible people, other than Opie and maybe Chibs.
I saw a couple of episodes was mostly dumb fun not meant to be taken that seriously.
That was an…interesting…story arc. But Goggins was only in about 6 episodes out of 90+.

THats how I felt about Office Space. And then I finally moved into corp America and the show just hit differently. I recommend it. (meth or Vtwins).
I liked it. Silly drama, had some good actors playing good roles. Lots of action.
Yep, its when I started to watch for him in roles caused I liked him so much in this.

The show jumped the shark around season 3-4. Just got absurd. Dude’s literally murdering in the streets in broad daylight, cars exploding. Nobody get’s caught for anything, and the drama between Jax mom and his lady friend was bananas. It went to shit very quickly.
I watched most of it, this is pretty accurate but I thoroughly enjoyed most I watched.
I was truly sad when Opie met his fate. Hard to watch.

My wife hated the show with a passion. She would openly mock the show while I watched it.

"Guys, we need to come up with some ideas to make money"
"Well we could run guns"
"Yeah we've done well with that in the past"
"We could sell drugs"
My wife: "Or or.... maybe you guys could all go out and get jobs!".

Good show for its time, but at some point you'll ask yourself, "Who the hell are the good guys." They're all terrible people. Crap. So, yes, Yellowstone.

Taylor Sheridan had a recurring role in this, so it makes sense his Yellowstone idea was to create a cowboy version of what he knew/experienced on the set of SOA.
that & wasn't his wife/gf a surgeon. She had to be pulling some good money as a M.D. out in California
I think shows that are grounded in the rules of the "universe" they are set in work so much better. Take the Walking Dead obviously far-fetched show about zombies overrunning much of the world. But within that universe the decisions & actions the characters made in the first couple of seasons made for a good viewing experience. Show went completely off the rails & subsequently lost about 90% of its viewership.
I thought the huge decline with the SoA came when they went to prison & then went completely off the rails about the time they went to Ireland.
Don't understand that thinking at all, it's all make believe bullshit. When you start to try to pretend like it's real life you're not being realistic. It's not.
I thought it was a good series, but did fade a bit the last couple of seasons.
I like how all the women I know LOVE Jax Teller while he's murdered more people than the Green River Killer. But he's cute!
The part where the Chinese gang kills all the women in the whorehouse was so dumb. That would have been front page news worldwide with every fed agency all over it. But crickets....
