And breaks state records and blah blah blah.. does he get bumped up to a 4 or 5 star recruit? Don’t get me wrong he looks like a 5 star back to me and love his knack of hitting the gap and see you later on some nice long runs.. we need a home run threat and I think we already have one in IKM... now with Goodson and don’t sleep on Samson Evans or Herell

I am guilty of wanting Iowa to recruit better players. But once the coaches have settled on a guy and he has committed, does it matter what his ratings do? Did he suddenly become a better or worse player because he gained or lost a star? This kid's film looks really good and his letter that was published today was sensational. I am just hoping the Hawks can keep him until signing day. I think he can be a difference maker on and off the field. I am still disappointed things went south with Brock but I feel really good about the RB position going forward.

That would change everything. Everything!

If he is bumped to a 4-star by Rivals, Goodson will immediately move ahead of the other Rivals 3-star RBs on the roster at the beginning of Fall camp.

If he gets bumped to a 5-star by Rivals, he is virtually guaranteed to start as a true freshman.

Conversely, if Goodson's rating drops, he will have a very difficult time ever breaking the two-deeps at Iowa.

For the above reasons, it is very important to keep an eye on his ranking at the end of his senior season. It will literally determine his college career.

Lol.. you feel better now? You pump that chest out? Rrrrrrrrrarhhhh .. gomer

I , like all of you, am overjoyed to have him and hope we get him when it counts, which is of course in February.

But just curious, why did not one the blue bloods recruit him hard, like Alabama or LSU or Georgia or somebody local? mybe a 3-star is just not good enough for a blood. I dunno.

Stars vanish once a guy steps on campus.
That is the best take I have seen. The STAR GAME is the biggest scam going. People have found a money machine preying on the egos of young adults and more than anything PARENTS. Not football but I saw where there is a rating out for 4th grade hoopers. To see the interviews with these young guys and their parents is sickening.

My guess is that they have offered a kid that is essentially the exact same player, but weighs 10 pounds more. The difference in these high level players is often razor thin.
