Is this a typo in the league rosters or has Owen Coburn, a 6'10" freshman from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn made the move to attend Spirit Lake next year?

I have been hearing a lot about a kid from Hartley transferring to spirit lake for basketball. I kept hearing Waechter little brother but couldn't believe his dad would leave his football coaching job. They have also been getting wrestling transfers last year. One from HMS, okoboji, and alta.

Yeah, I heard that another big was coming for next year but didn't hear any names... sort of thought Coburn might be due to proximity to Spirit Lake and then saw this spring league rosters tweeted out with him listed as SLP.

Much better job recruiting this time if true, they'll get 3 years out of Coburn instead of just the 2 for Kriener

Yea this is the kid that I posted about back in January, was told about him from a coach at Sheldon HS. said he would be transferring in for next year. It is better that they are getting him for 3 years, gives him more time to really gel with the team. Must be nice.

Well, there are far more jobs to be had in Spirit Lake than in Hartley, so it makes perfect sense to me (aside from a plethora of other obvious reasons for people who are familiar with both places). That said, I LOVE small town America, so from that sense it's a bummer people either feel the need to move or HAVE to move just to keep a roof over your head and gainfully employed (probably doesn't have a whole lot to do with this particular situation, but its a problem for at LOT of people who grew up in places like Hartley, Melvin or Sanborn).
