if there was a huge positive, they were terrific. I said in the game thread the first half could be one of Iowa’s best ever.
Freaking TWO safeties on PSU punts in one half (granted unforced by PSU, but in comparison in the rain our punting team failed to do that crap). Long 49-yard FG by Miguel in the wet rain. 4th down great TD pass by our punter to our DT. Some amazing KO coverage leading to PSU starting inside the 20, once on a great hit. Several long runs to midfield by ISM. I know they had the one long run in the second half, but still overall great performance.
Honestly, that’s what hurt the most. Usually on a tough game especially on the road, this is what gets you the win. What you need to get you over the hump. We blew some great ST play including some horrific gaffes by the opposition.
