Spencer Petras: "1 of top arms in this entire draft class."

What is the story this tells? That Utah State had an extremely easy schedule at 103 out of 134 teams.

Or that Iowa usually plays great defenses. In 2022 these are the scoring defenses Iowa faced. #1 Illinois, #4 Minn, #7 Mich, #13 Kentucky, #17 Wisc, #18 ISU, and #24 OSU who allowed 21 points per game. Over half the teams we faced had a top 25 defense and we faces 3 top 10 defenses.
I think the story is something was holding him back at Iowa, be it: (i) the system, (ii) the coaching, (iii) the fan pressure/environment, (iv) the level of competition, or (v) a combination of multiple factors.

You can interpret any way you want - I think the story is that, no matter the level of competition, if you complete 65% of your passes after only one year into a new offensive system you're a pretty decent quarterback in my book.

See: Brian Ferentz.

My issue with Petras other than his lack of mobility, was that he just completely sh*t himself when the live bullets were flying. At the time, I recall it was largely blamed on the staff drilling into QBs that ball security is of paramount importance to offensive production, and that's part of the truth. But, the kid gets a really bad case of the yips, and after that...the accuracy tanks. Sometimes it would kick in on the first snap. He probably does tear it up in practice with the red jersey on, but that isn't going to get him into the NFL.

How did Mahomes look under pressure in the Super Bowl?

more evidence Hawkeye fans are retarded... whether its quarterback coordinator coach... retarded Hawkeyes fans want them cancelled

back when I was a kid... fans supported their teams

not anymore
I can’t believe how unloyal some of our fans are. Like with Brian Ferentz. He just needed more time and his offensive genius would surely have shown through!
