Spievey

Definitely pulling for Amari and he continues down the road of mental wellness, looks like he’s gotta a hold on it and down the right path... probably best he did stop playing when he did!

I believe that he had a kid - probably felt that he needed to be earning for his young family. Also, he was sought after by NFL agents .... got allured by the possibility of big money.

It’s a decent example of why maximizing your draft position is likely a better move than getting to the NFL early. Many, many draft picks never get a second contract. So it really
makes the value of your first one important. If Spievey could have come back and gone in the early second after his senior year he’d be significantly better off financially then getting to the NFL a year earlier as a mid third round pick and no second contract.

I'm sure his is a cuationary tale that KF and company share to balance out the chirping of many who recommend that getting a payday is better sooner rather than later.

Good feed on that Wisconsin clip. Forgot JJ Watt was on that team. Isn't Allen Reisner still in the league? Good to see Amari back on track
