Spring ball

Do we ever have any players don't go through spring ball for certain reasons.

Today is UI Senior pro day (no practice). Practices begin tomorrow (Blair says Wed, but my kid told me he has practice tomorrow). DM practice 4/8, Spring Game (Kinnick) 4/23.

Key positions this Spring

WR - I think we have our slot receivers with VandeBerg and McCarron. I think Smith can be special. Will be interesting to see if Falconer, Ogwo or Scheel contribute this year.

TE - Kittle and Outsey should play a lot, wonder how Wisnieski is doing. May see at least one Freshman TE play this year.

FB - Kelly and Manders is all I see on the roster. This was a strength last year.

OL - Juggling to find best five, should be in good shape.

QB - CJ is solid but who backs him up. Could Cook possibly move to TE?

I don't think you see any freshman TE play. They have Kittle, Outsey, Wisnieski, Pekar and Vejvoda. That's plenty. Unless of course there are injuries.

FB- Kulick and Ross are the top two guys
