Would be awesome if Leshun could be used effectively as a running/blocking FB and let Wadley/Mitchell split RB carries. Would be confusing for D's to have 2 of the 3 on the field at the same time.

No kidding what was Bill Walsh thinking when he came up with that stupid West Coast Offense that didn't work ! smh

I was not referencing football in general, OBVIOUSLY there is innovation, mostly in the college ranks lately, but back to my point which was that if you are hoping to see some of that in the Iowa offense, dont hold your breath.

Auger, I agree and have been hoping for such things for many years, all for naught, as BirdistheWord notes. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be the right thing to do. Imagine the defense actually having to face the conundrum of defensing Wadley AND Mitchell or Daniels all on the same play. And add to that the possibility of CJ tossing one 60 yards over the top to Smith or Ogwo or VandeBerg or Parker or whoever. What's a defense to do?

But I fear that Iowa will, again this season, have an offense with much more potential than the coaches will allow it to realize. And that continues to be one of KF's fundamental flaws and, by job title, GD's. They have the talent to dominate opposing defenses, but they lack the basic football imagination and instinct to do it.

That thin margin of error KF seems to enjoy pointing out at every opportunity would be much wider if only he would open his offense and make the most of the talent he has collected.

But no, I won't be holding my breath...only my nose when I realize what awesome potential this Hawkeye offense has that will be left to rot.

Wow, all he has to do is open up the offense? That's insightful. Maybe you should be coaching. Then again there is just far too much unfinished work left on the internet. We appreciate it.

I'm confused? I thought we weren't recruiting any talent and now I find out we are loaded with talent? My head is spinning, I was upset with coaching staff because I was told they couldnt recruit but were great coaches and now I find out they are actually great recruiters but cannot Coach. Oh, the confusion.

It's as confusing as the same "Iowa Fans" that say we went 12-0 because we had an easy schedule. Nobody could ever tell me how a team with bad coaches, bad players and a bad system can possibly have an easy schedule. But they insist that is what happened.

Seriously if we are bad as they think we are it is impossible to have an easy schedule. Oh well, there frustration and bitterness after every win last year was awesome to watch.

It was some sweet, sweet, humor to go 12-0 in a season, when those
'grumblers' had their panties so in a wad,

LOL #goHawks
