Well, they got a chunk of my money years ago. The campus looks really nice and they are getting a lot of things done around campus.

At one time, St. Ambrose University played their home
football games at what is now called Modern Woodmen
stadium in downtown Davenport.

Bottom Line: This was when it was St. Ambrose College
and Davenport Municipal Stadium in the 1950's.

My alma mater. They put a lot of effort into attracting non trad students and they have been well supported by their diocese. I am not Catholic but I thoroughly enjoyed the time Inspent there.

I believe they have an ever higher percentage of students from Illinois than the U of Iowa does.

Oh...you mean the new Davenport Assumption stadium. The city stopped Ambrose from doing this but they couldn't stop Assumption, who is "sharing" the facility with Ambrose. This was another NIMBY situation that wasted a lot of people's time and money.
