Liberals are arming themselves

Before the 2A crazies created a "need for the 2A", which already existed and require further need the U.S. was a much better place.

The NRA and conservative right used gun ownership as one of their hot button issues which sucked in even normal, rational people. The result was flooding the country with guns, including semiautomatic military equivalent weapons. The consequence is these weapons reach the criminal element.

Many of us here in Iowa and the Midwest were raised in hunting families. Not the case where most of the guns reside. In cities where gun owners with the best intensions have no experience yet expose family members to weapons. Guns flow freely among youth and criminal element and then we complain about city crime rates.

Naïveté? No worse.

It would have taken longer if you are prior military. Are you okay with that....especially considering every felon running the streets is strapped with no questions asked??
Definitely not. I was ridiculing hoosiers rant. Prior military isn't always a longer check, depends on the clearance level of the individual a lot of the times.

When did this big tipping point happen in your opinion?

Two extra weeks for me....had no idea it was coming....almost lost it in the Sheriff's office.

Bother me?! He’s my favorite HORTer!

This is what HORT is for! Verbally abuse dumb phucks like him (and you sometimes if you’re lucky).

Have a good weekend boyz! See you Monday.
That's about the 5th time you've said this ^. Enjoy the E-bike with LunchBox! 🤣 Lolz...owned...

I’ll jump in, when the NRA purged its leadership, began its political lobbying arm and changed its mission from serving sportsmen and promoting gun safety to strict 2nd amendment defense fighting anything they considered to be an infringement, essentially anything. They promoted increasing their membership numbers and higher annual fees to pay for political lobbying focused primarily on republican politicians as allies to their cause. This transformation started in the mid 1970s.

The NRA used to be a great organization, I was a member during most of the 1970s but I dropped out by 1980 or so. I personally think they’re evil AF now and should likely be disbanded.

The nra DOES suck. But they suck because they sold out gun owners. There are other pro-gun organizations that haven’t.

That is it. No big deal. I asked the fbi if I was good to own a gun, they ran my background and said yes, but it only took 15 mins! If it would have taken longer would that make you happy?

Would make me happy if there was more to getting a deadly weapon than a check to see if I have committed a crime yet.

Three shotguns, including a fairly expensive Benelli left to me by my father-in-law. I also have an antique Stevens .410 pistol passed down from my grandfather to dad to me. It's pretty cool...looks like the pic:

Plinking targets with a .410 or a .22 is a simple pleasure.
