While way ahead, but IA still has no tricks in their boring bag of boring hand-offs.?.
Two yards and a cloud of dirt. Geesh. Please fire offensive coordinator.
Why not?

Well, on one hand I agree, but ... you saw the game, right? Stanford is in a different class altogether. Period. Better athletes, stronger, faster, and everything. Yes, their scheming and coaching was also better, but even if Iowa had called trick play after trick play, it wouldn't have helped the Hawks deal with Stanford's superior talent. I do not like saying this, but I watched the game and from the first offensive play at the line of scrimmage, Stanford outclassed Iowa in every way. That was a simple outlet pass to the RB in a short curl and McCafferey busted it for 75 yards. Hell, they took their foot off the pedal or it would have been much worse.

We need speed. I'm sure that's been beaten into the ground by now, but it remains true. There's not much you can do to stop the best athletes from going to the best climates.

You sure about that? They threw a bomb to the end zone with 2 minutes to play.

Yeah, but how many plays was McCafferey on the field the second half? They could have handed it off to him every play all game long and he might have run a TD every other play. Honestly, I thought they were generous putting Wright and Sanders in for plays in the first half.

But they made sure mccaffrey got his hundred yards receiving. They had to to it twice too as the first time was a lateral. That is low class to run trick plays up by 28 and then throw bombs with starting Qb wit two minutes left. Iowa played poorly and Stanford was clearly better team, but classy in defeat is fine.

Hmmm ... I agree and I disagree. Yeah, they did make sure McCaffery got his receiving yards, but I still think they did Iowa a favor whenever they took him off the field and played other running backs. It was 35-0 at half (it would have been worse than that if they had left McCaffery on the field every play). They could have put up 70, though, if they had really kept pushing -- but they didn't even if they did try to make a few plays late in the game. The third quarter, they seemed to really shut it down. That doesn't exactly make me feel like Iowa was doing well at that point. Stanford had the game in hand, no reason to play up to their potential. It sucks that the game went that way, but it did. Iowa got beat. Bad. And Stanford could have made it worse than it was if they had wanted to do so.

It's called selling your program. Iowa can get interest but can't close. Weather isn't as big a factor as some believe.

Asking another team to quit scoring is beyond pathetic. Stanford did what I wish Iowa would do. Bury teams and never let them up to breath. I could see how throwing the ball deep late in the game could raise some eyebrows but then Iowa just tried an onside kick. They got what they deserved.
