I do not want Ferentz to leave but at the same time I do. So much history with him. Will he be back in 2026? I do not think I can make any games in 2025. Predictions?
bruh, don't be a donkey. answers like this are TRASH. incel.
Was the question not if KF would be back in '26?bruh, don't be a donkey. answers like this are TRASH. incel.
Let me try to console you by providing some context. There was Iowa football LONG before KF was even born. Think about that. And there will be Iowa football LONG after he's dead, presuming college football survives. KF is a mortal being. Some day, one way or another, Iowa will have a head football coach NOT named Kirk Ferentz. Personally, I'm very much looking forward to that day. I am not among those who believe KF is the only human being in the known universe who can coach football at Iowa and achieve some degree of success.I do not want Ferentz to leave but at the same time I do. There is nothing to suggest that "it's time"Let me try to console you by providing some context. There was Iowa football LONG before KF was even born. Think about that. I do not believe in kings or dictators or head coaches who "deserve to leave on their own." It's time for a new head coach, a new vision, new leadership for the Hawkeye football program. But I'm not holding my breath that it'll happen as soon as I want it to. We'll have some sense of how that may play out when we see whether the men's basketball program has a new head coach in the next few months.
So don't worry about Iowa football. There are plenty of far more significant things to focus your worry on.
I will highly likely be back in 2026. Some depends on this coming year with a very qualified QB in the fold. If the offense sputters then I think it becomes Kirk's offensive decision making is holding Iowa back.I do not want Ferentz to leave but at the same time I do. So much history with him. Why can't he beat ranked teams anymore? There is nothing to suggest that "it's time"
Listen I get it, I want him gone too. But its the memories and nostalgia of his era, still a legend. I want to go to at least THREE home games his final year. but need to time it. Just because he has a contract through 2030, does not mean anything. when coaches get into their sunset years, its really a year by year thing. I just HOPE.Let me try to console you by providing some context. There was Iowa football LONG before KF was even born. Think about that.
