With all the reasons out there for the hawks losing today... hogwash. The reason they lost was poor shooting by several guys, that's it. Still love watching these guys play. Are they going to make the ncaa tournament? Very doubtful, but there is tons of potential with this team and with the guys coming in next year, and the next..the future of hawk basketball has never looked brighter. Go hawks!

Agreed, the "Fab 6" has certainly earned a lot of respect in my eyes. Desperately need some smaller and/or quicker recruits who can break down defense/get to bucket.

The thought of Brady and JOBO spotting up all game.....
Cook has one of the highest ceilings of anyone at Iowa in at least 10 years
If Wagner could add just some small wrinkles to his offensive game....look out
Will the real Isaiah Moss please stand up.....
I am a huge Kriener fan, guy is very solid
If Dom could just take one more step forward....

I am excited for what this team can do in the next couple of years. I am understanding of the ups and downs they will encounter and am just enjoying the games.....or parts of the games sometimes.

I have patience for this team to grow. I have, however, had it up to my frickin' eyebrows with that one-handed, backward, weak-a$$ bounce pass that I keep seeing the other team take from us the last few games!!

6 Freshmen.....end of discussion. Great times are ahead.

Exactly, we are extremely young. But I will continue... Ken pom has us the 8th youngest team in the country(343 out of 351). That's a crazy fact, especially considering how good these guys really are - Now. There is still plenty of season left. We will make some noise if nothing else.

The next 3+ years we will be very good. Throw in Nunge, Garza, Connor Mac, Joe(you know Joe), P Mac, and that has us good-to-great for at least 6 years. If we get a quarter of the guys that we are heavily recruiting, and who are very interested in Iowa, then we are looking at a good 8+ year run of very good Hawkeye teams. Love it!

Go Fran!

Agree. Love this team. We have a lot of talent now that just has to develop, and our new kids yet to come all look great. Fran has to keep his scholarships in the future for some sure bets. No more "projects" for the foreseeable future, I hope.

Totally agree. I like these guys. They will get stronger and better.

There is an 8 ft area around the basket (not talking about the block/charge circle) where Fran's teams have to find a way to get better. They give up too many layups and dunks, miss to many layups on offense and give up too many rebounds on both ends. Fran's strategy to play interchangeable parts has left this part out of his recruiting strategy, and it always seems to show up in tough games.

I hope Wagner, Pemsl or Cook (Garza?) can fill that role in the future.

It will be interesting to see which freshman really develop this off season, the old axiom is that players take the biggest step forward after their first year, if true fun times could be coming soon. You can see a lot of potential and that gives real hope for a bright future for the program.
