Stone starting against Michigan. The head banger is once again in the good graces of Mark Turgeon and is obviously good to go as the thuggery only required action after the league was starting to look into it.

Mary Land fans must be proud of their team and their coach.

I'm still a little disappointed that Turgeon pursued Sulaimon so quickly after he was the only player ever to be dumped by Duke. This was caused by the two separate alleged rape accusations against the player. I guess a change of scenery and all is forgiven.

I thought the Stone punishment was appropriate. Any future stuff by him should be warrant more than a slap on the wrist. Sulaimon is more clearly a thug. I don't think Coach K had ever dismissed a player, and if you watch him on the court, I am surprised that he doesn't ever get T'ed for the way he reacts to calls and shows up his opponent. I assume that Turgeon took Sulaimon because he had recruited him heavily out of HS, when he was at A&M. The other players on Mary Land's team seem like decent kids based on what I have seen.

There have been 3 deliberate tripping incidents in the past month , one player was suspended 3 games ,one for one game, and one not any. The one who was not suspended was Grayson Allen of Duke. Probably because if Christian Laettner can stomp on a player in the NCAA and not suffer any consequences , then Duke is immune from punishment.

Turgeon recruited him hard in high school and they had a good relationship. Saw something about this on ESPN and thought there wasn't enough there for a rape case? Don't really remember though.

Charges dropped on the rape case. Not necessarily sure his dismissal from Duke was even related to it- Coach K has kept his lips sealed, but, given his record of dismissing players (zero), Sulaimon must have earned it.

Just because the in-game punishment was not sufficiently doesn't mean the coach or university shouldn't take appropriate action. The fact the league really took no action is worst response of all.
