That’s not the reason. Maybe part of the reason in some cases, but not the sole reason. If that is the case, why weren’t shelves empty 2 years ago (and before)?
Your excuse doesn’t explain why, before Christmas, Hy-Vee’s both big and small had almost no tube biscuits/rolls. Ankeny, Johnston, West Des Moines, and Oskaloosa to name a few. You could try to say it was due to “holiday demand”, yet I have NEVER seen scarcity like that in the past 50 years around ANY holiday….or any other time.
There is most definitely supply chain issues. Not as bad as 2020-21, but it is still here.
