Store shelves are empty again across the country, thanks a lot Empty Shelves Joe!

Must.defend.MAGA.

Im seeing a trumper (his twitter account appears to be full on MAGA) use a donald trump soundbite to prove a point, but doesn’t go all in to prove a point. If you want to say there is bare shelves all over, take a stroll around the store.
Lol…Wtf are you talking about? This was a famous video months ago because of the spot on impersonation. It’s not an historical document. You get that, right?

Famous? Lol
Sigh…

Well who can argue with crowder, notthebee and military news?

the bar isnt set real high for comedy in MAGA world

Shelves are full here but we are definitely selling a lot more than we normally do this time of year. Most of our selectors are getting 50+ hours where they are usually struggling to get 40 this time of year.

You inbred, toenail-chewing, 2nd Amendment-spouting goofs finally got what you wanted: The right to bare shelves.

Got mine last July. Try harder.
I refuse to pay 3x cost to get one. Since I have a PC that will play anything out there right now, the motivation to stake out websites isn't there. I did notice that the scalpers prices have been coming down though so maybe we aren't too far from them becoming more available.

I didn’t pay a scalper, I got it from Best Buy for retail price

I followed a guy on Twitter who would send out alerts when inventory was available. It took me 3 or 4 tries, but it worked.

Nice. I don't live really close to a place that might actually get physical copies, although I would be willing to drive a couple hours to get one if I knew they were going to be in stock when I got there.

You don’t live anywhere near a Best Buy or a Target?

Were you limited on the number you could buy or did you buy a few extra and turn around and sell them and basically get yours for free?

Nope, just wanted one for me. I didn’t want to screw others over. I’m a Best Buy Elite member and I had been putting all my CC expenses on a BB credit card building up gift card certificates for over a year before release. Then it took another 8-9 months before I got it after release.

By the time I got it, I had enough certificates to pay for the entire thing with accessories and a couple games for free.

I didn’t start trying until last June and it took me 4-5 weeks before I got one.

This was the guy I followed on Twitter

It's an hour to the nearest Best Buy and 40 minutes to the nearest Target. A Target that never gets any PS5's when they do get a resupply because they keep them in the suburbs. Also, none of the Best Buy's that are an hour away get them either. I suspect most of them are going to the stores in larger population areas (I have no information on that, that's just me guessing and being bitter)

The only thing I've had issues with getting is a Playstation 5.
They are out there…..you just have to apply yourself. Get on zoolert or nowinstock. Check internet for notifications of stock drops that are coming for Best Buy, Target, Walmart. They usually give the day and approximate time. When the day/time comes, get on both your computer and phone and be ready. Have an account, and be sure your credit card and address are in the system and you are signed on. Keep hitting refresh until the Add to Cart button becomes available. If you get an out of stock message, just keep hitting refresh. Do this on both the phone and computer. Do not give up. Keep doing this for at least 20 minutes. Keep going thru the process over and over.

The reason you keep at it is because the stock often gets added a little at a time…..or they add some at one time and then more 15 minutes later. There are also thousands hitting the site at once.

In 2020 I was able to get 3 of them. One for myself. Then I tried again a few weeks later just for the heck of it, and got another which I sold on eBay (only time I have ever scalped). Then my son in law wanted me to get one for him, so I did. The last one was from Best Buy…..I had to keep adding to cart and refreshing for over 20 minutes but it finally went thru.

I think you can also sign up on Sony’s website and you will be in a “drawing.” If your name comes up they will send you an email with instructions on how to buy, but it is only good for a specific time period. My son almost had one this way….but he wasn’t checking his email regularly and didn’t see it until he was a day too late.

They don’t ever put them on the shelves. You have to order it online.

What I found out was you try to jump on the ordering as soon as the alert comes out. If your particular retail location that you enter isn’t getting any stock, you won’t get through. OR you will get a little ways into the ordering process then get shut down.

When I did get mine I got all the way through and placed the order. The actual inventory didn’t arrive for a few days. The day I picked it up they had received a dozen. All the other guys were waiting to pick up as well, but not a single machine was ever for sale on the sales floor.

You never know when you attempt to buy if your store is getting any, so you have to keep trying. But yes, every store does get a turn with inventory.

I know this sounds like a hassle but it really wasn’t that bad. I work from home so when the alerts would come I would run down to the home computer and give it a shot. They usually ran out within 5 minutes, sometimes within 2. Sometimes I would miss the alerts and/or be busy and couldn’t try. But now that I think about it I think it did take me about 4 or 5 attempts. That’s it.

Set alerts for the Twitter guy I linked earlier and give it a shot. It’s the only way you’ll get one until they start stocking them on shelves, which doesn’t sound like anytime soon.

Here in Broward county, I’ve noticed that it is really hard to find Whipping cream as well as Jimmy Dean sausage. I swear to god they quit making sausage in September. Freaking odd. I did see it at Publix but it was $5.99 and I’m not paying that
I’m here too. My dad can’t get his Publix coffee cream on the regular but overall it’s not bad.

Yeah, I think I'll just wait for my turn in Sony's ordering list. That seems like a whole lot of work to play games I can play on my PC. Maybe not being able to play Horizon: Forbidden West will sting enough to motivate me to do something like that.

Actually, the only reason I got a ps5 in the first place is because my ps4 broke. I don’t play many games….we primarily used it as a dvd/blu ray player. Since the few ps4 games I have work on the ps5, I figured I might as well upgrade instead of buying another ps4. Good luck in the future!

It’s almost like maybe one of the stores sells a higher volume of product
That’s not the reason. Maybe part of the reason in some cases, but not the sole reason. If that is the case, why weren’t shelves empty 2 years ago (and before)?

Your excuse doesn’t explain why, before Christmas, Hy-Vee’s both big and small had almost no tube biscuits/rolls. Ankeny, Johnston, West Des Moines, and Oskaloosa to name a few. You could try to say it was due to “holiday demand”, yet I have NEVER seen scarcity like that in the past 50 years around ANY holiday….or any other time.

There is most definitely supply chain issues. Not as bad as 2020-21, but it is still here.

I wanted to make biscuits and gravy over Christmas break. It a a breakfast of us poors.

The heavy whipping cream is used in two of our chicken dishes. A honey mustard creme sauce and another that is used with sun dried tomatoes. The chicken was purchased on Tuesdays when Freshmarket has $2.99 a pound chicken.

You were initially talking about two stores that pull from the same warehouse , then there would be no reason for one store to have product and not the other. Unless you visited one store that had recently received a truck, while the other would be receiving one shortly

it also could have been an issue where items were on allocation, where stores could only order x number of cases of given product . If that were the case the higher volume store would run out of product first

there are literally so many variables when it comes to supply on shelves, that you could not make any reasonable guesses To why one store would have product and not the other

And yes, Pillsbury which is owned by GM has had supply issues on going for refrigerated dough (ie Grands, Crescents, etc)

My point is that there are supply shortages.

I went to the store today and witnessed the horror of the empty shelves. Publix was out of Snapple and they were BOGO. Damn you Joe Biden!!
