Straight into my veins. This will be a first day watch for me.

Yes. Definitely yes.

Huge Tim Robinson fan. If you haven't watched The Detroiters on Netflix its awesome.

It also feels like the only interesting movies being made any more are in the horror genre (and I get that this is more comedy than horror, but even so).

Loved Detroiters. Glad it finally made it to Netflix because I binged all of it.

The last three good movies I've seen have all been Yorgos Lanthimos movies. Highly recommended for an escape from super hero drivel.

Then when we were going through your stool, there were two diamond rings…and that’s how I knew you were cheating on me.

Cool to see the gif guy is in movies now.
He's truly one of us:

Tim Robinson was quoted as saying series creator and showrunner Lorne Michaels had “lost his ****ing mind” bringing Trump to the show. Robinson, who would go on to co-create and star in Netflix’s sketch series “I Think You Should Leave” in 2019, was working on the writing staff after having previously been a cast member.

“Lorne has lost his ****ing mind and someone needs to shoot him in the back of the head,” Robinson is written to have said around the time of Trump’s hosting spot, per Morrison’s book.

He all growed up!

He's definitely not my cup of tea. But yeah, I'm glad that his bizarre stuff gets pretty wide release.

A24 runs the world now.

It does. It's basically keeping film alive, hopefully it sparks some proper imitators with all of its success.

I was just thinking yesterday how Harvey Weinstein was a total piece of garbage, but how thoroughly he transformed the film industry, and how different it would be without him. Sorry my fellow Gen X-ers, but film in the 80s was mostly shit, and Miramax massively changed the game and almost single-handedly revived independent film and auteurs. I mean, he's probably the single most important person in film in the last 40 years, as well as being it's biggest scumbag.

And for as much lament as there has been about the sorry creative state of the film industry, nobody really mentions that the Weinsteins left a massive void as talent evaluators and tastemakers.

I am not lamenting their fate given what Weinstein was like, but thank God A24 seems to have picked up the mantle around independent and interesting film.
