That was one of the best games by a college BB player I have seen in a while. He hit everything he threw up, rebounded, played good D, and passed the ball well. Really impressed. Thought the rest of his team played really well also and obviously shot the ball well Sat.

Iowa should feel alright considering the shooting effort they had and it was still a relatively close game. There aren't going to be that many bad shooting nights for this team and they still played through it.

Suggs had 12 against Northwestern St. last night. Kispert, a guy we pretty much held in check, did most of the damage for them last evening. Just shows you how deep and versatile they are. And, of course, Ayayi, who killed us on the boards had exactly two rebounds last night.

He plays for Gonzaga. And that game was Saturday.

You realize Iowa plays PURDUE TONIGHT, don't you?

I think Suggs will be the first overall draft pick in the 2021 NBA draft....If you watched his games against Iowa and Kansas, he is going to be even better at the next level
I'm no NBA scout, but what really impressed me about Suggs was his length, quickness and hands on defense. He was really disrupting our offense early on, giving JBo fits especially. He's a great talent, but he's not going to shoot 3 pointers like he did against us every night.

The Iowa game was a totally different level of competition for Gonzaga, which leads to a different level of focus and play. I don't know how close the game was but is was probably a glorified scrimmage for Gonzaga.

sounds like Fran should watch the Northwestern st. tape

Why shouldn't we talk about one of the 2-3 best players in college ball, considering we just played them? Bringing up Suggs isn't keeping anyone from discussing Purdue, and we as fans don't need to focus on the next game.

For one, I think Suggs' skillset is better adapted for the NBA than (most teams) the college game. The way Iowa plays just let Suggs' game flow more than other opponents would.

I've been watching Iowa bball a long damn time and I swear every time Iowa plays a good team it's bombs away from 3. Zaga shoots 29% 3's but goes off at 60% or whatever vs Iowa? FM.
I will say Gonzaga passes the ball like no other team I have seen in a long time.

I didn't care for his cocky demeanor but he backed it up. Wish the hawks would have ended up with him for fb and bb🙄

Well, it probably starts by not having the slowest starting point guard in the country guarding him. I love JBo and I have no issues with him starting overall, but if they see Gonzaga again they are going to have to figure out a different way of dealing with him.

Simple. Put Joe T on him then bring JBo off the bench to spell him. Joe T better running the O too.
