I am 100% against who Elon has become, but own and drive a Mosel S and I’m not selling it/trading it. It’s a great car and when I bought it in 2015 I certainly had no idea how warped Elon was (or maybe would become).

No pic daughter’s best bud was looking at EVs five + years ago and said she would never buy a Tesla. When asked why her no hesitation reply was distrust of muskie. Specifically that she was worried he would get involved in personal info/data.

I don’t ever see myself buying an ICE vehicle. So now I’m just holding out for another mfg to get good enough. I most likely wont buy another Tesla. Right now I like the Lucid, but worry the company may not be viable for the long run. Hopefully the Germans get their shit together at the luxury end of the market.
Yeah, I am hoping Honda goes EV with the Ridgeline. Holding off on our next purchase, looking for the right EV to replace my Hybrid.

If I were going to buy an electric car I'd consider a Tesla, but I'm about practicality and it falls short for me.
If I were going green I'd dona hybrid that charges itself without plugging in, like a Prius. Do they make a model that doesn't come with a Harris/Walz or virtue signaling bumper sticker though? I like a clean bumper.

I will not buy a Tesla, but it is far from the only option.
My answer is “Buy whatever the fvck you want to buy.” I fully support a conversion to an EV and if someone wants to buy a Tesla, good for them. And I have a very recent history on here of shitting all over Elon as I’m not a fan of him being involved in our government at all.
As far as he goes as a business owner, I don’t a give a rats ass who supports him, hates him, buys his stuff or boycotts him.

My daughter and SIL both drive EV but they don't drive Tesla , I drive a Lexus ES hybrid. It's not a gas guzzler but not a full EV as well.

My preference is that daily drivers are hybrid or EV. Commercial needs are different, tho EV buses proliferate.

As I said, I’d love for us to be able to get off of fossil fuel. And if someone chooses to do it, I am perfectly fine with them purchasing a Tesla and would go as far to say anyone taking issue with it and then acting on it (through vandalism or any other way to inconvenience someone) can eat a big bag of shit.
Many people have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that people’s support of EVs and their hatred of Elon are butting heads within themselves. And while, yes, there are other choices, but as someone who is a supporter of getting off of gas, why would you (not you personally) give a flying shit about the manner in which someone decides to spend their own money to do so?
