As we reach the midway point of spring WE are in need of a QB for the 2019 class. The Hawks are looking at several prospects for the position. I have included those who have had most recent contact with coaches and seem like the most likely to earn an offer should Iowa chooses to go in their direction.

That Fomby guy is blowing up right now. Sounds like gwinnett GA is a hotbed. Fwiw deuce is the aelfproclaimed #1 prostyle qb in Texas for his year.

The last guy is 6’5” and only 190? That is really thin. Fortunately he has plenty of time before he graduates to gain some weight.

I asked about Jacob Clark the other day.

I understand that his family moved to Texas (East of Dallas (Garland)) from Kansas before his junior year. Minnesota and Indiana from B1G are interested. Jacob seems to fit the Iowa mold.

Offer list looks decent but nothing amazing. Nw is in on him and they generally like a more mobile QB. I think Brian and maybe KOK want some mobility out of the QB.

I saw his dad Rick McIvor play QB at Texas. Big guy. He had a great arm and was a gamer.

That would be my impression too. Woods recruited the greater Atlanta region for a while ... so he probably shared what contacts he cultivated there. However, these days, I'd expect that region would be covered by Foster and Wallace.

Maverick McIvor mentioned in this article as possibly seeing his recruitment take off especially on the West Coast. Threw for 3400+ 43tds and 8 int. last season.


Alex Padilla is solid too.
