New Story Syd Affolter out until November

From Jan's PC today, she said Addy got better, but sounded like Ava already passed her. Didn't commit to it, but sound like she's thinking Hannah at the 4.
Kind of what I expected to happen, (maybe not by the first game). Hopefully AOG stays engaged in the process. As a starter or backup she'll have a very important role on this team. She has experience including post season play to pass on to the young ones.

Hopefully Hannah has improved her 10-12' shooting.

As well as she runs the court, that pull up jumper would be sweet.

AOG came up big for us against LSU in the tourney. Hopefully that performance gave her some confidence coming into the season. Her inside defensive presence really messed with Reese IIRC.

True, but Heiden is bigger and probably more athletic. The only thing keeping AOG out of the starting lineup is Addie herself. Jan tried for a good part of the season to rotate AOG, Goodman, and AJE trying to find one #1 post, and she and Lisa talked about it late in the year that it was the one area where they had not nailed down consistent play from any of the posts.

Agree with all of this and wasn’t trying to imply she would be better than Heiden this year as there is definitely more upside (and likely want) there. Only brought that up as I hope that game gave her some confidence going forward and as an appreciation post. That game is a good fan memory I have of her. And maybe she’ll gel better with Lucy at the point than Clark as someone else pointed out that she sometimes was on the receiving end of Caitlin’s frustrations. I’m excited to see what Heiden can do though. Probably my biggest disappointment with Clark leaving for the W is not being able to see her and Heiden play together this year.
