One of the tailgates I frequent had a terrible ending on black Friday. His speaker system crapped the bed and I don't think that it is coming back. I told him that I would buy a bigger system for next year but wanted to see if we had any audiophiles in the house.

I am picking up some used Peavey 215s tonight from marketplace and wanted to see what amp/mixer I should pair them with. I would like to get something with BT built in, a connection for a separate powered sub if needed, and enough power to push them how they are supposed to be. The are rated at 700W program with a peak of 1400 and run at 4 ohm. Will need to also buy some stands and cables so any recommendations there would help as well.

Suggestions

Honestly, one of the best purchases I've made in the last 5 years is the ION Pathfinder portable speaker from Costco. You can get two of them and have them wirelessly connect for even more sound.

Waterproof, weatherproof, they have wheels so you can roll them anywhere, has a bottle opener on the side, charges your phone and the new ones are even karaoke-friendly.

I have a Peavey 215 cabinet and a Peavey 1820 cabinet. I just hook mine up to bass guitar heads because I use them to play bass. Peavey's older stuff will outlast humans.

There are little Bluetooth to aux or RCA, maybe worth keeping in mind depending on what you go with.

Post on here if you know an amp that would work for my situation. Want to power the 215s and also hook up to a powered sub. Would be nice if it had BT capabilities but not the end all.

Id look at a used Crown XLS amp at whatever wattage you want/find for the speakers. They are good value for the power and durable.

For a 'preamp' or device for source selecting, volume control and out to subwoofer. I'd consider a cheap headphone amp like one below that has bluetooth. Powered by USB C and also audio source through USB C if you wanted to use a computer or phone rather than bluetooth. Should be lots of cheap options.

Then just split the RCA outs one set to the power amp for the speakers and another to the powered sub most of which have high pass filters.

This looks even better

If it was me I would maybe take an easy option like this:

Pyle 4 Channel Wireless Bluetooth Amplifier - 3000 Watt Stereo Speaker Home Audio Receiver w/ FM Radio, USB, 2 Microphone w/ Echo for Karaoke, Front Loading CD DVD Player, LED, Rack Mount - PD3000BA https://a.co/d/eIV1hwo

Otherwise you are into either a powered mixer or a mixer and a power amp. There are Bluetooth mixers, but that's all stuff that is moving above my pay grade.
