Are there much for open lots? I see some passes for sale but I think they are for garages.

Yeah I am not sure on some of those "lots" on park whiz. I saw some had great reviews and others had negative reviews (garages, under ground, back alley). I have been looking as well, does anyone know can you leave your cars there overnight? How soon after the game do you have to be out of there?

I just worry about driving after the game (especially if Iowa wins). Might be celebrating a little bit into the night. I think I might just cab it from the Hotel and walk around and cab it back home. I know there are plenty of bars around the area to get a drink in before game time.

The problem I see with the lots on Parkwhiz is that they all have specific times you can park there. Most have times that start at 4:15 and must be out 3 hours after the game. That doesn't work out that well for my group that wants to head downtown in the morning and stay till after the game.

I maybe got lucky. The lot had good reviews and you can be in from 11:15 until 2 hours post game. As we are staying downtown I plan to just move the car before going to bars.

Our group is considering either Uber/Lyft from the hotel to downtown (and back) or finding a parking garage downtown that will let us stay all day/night.

I posted this before but if you go to the website www.downtownindy.org it gives parking information for all downtown parking, including pricing for special events. Realistically they are not going to be interested in towing anyone from any downtown lots unless you don't pay. That goes the same for garages, although you are going to have to pay more for garages if they charge by the hour. I can't speak for the stadium lots but I can't imagine them towing anyone if there not out at a certain time.

Most locals will probably park in the Circle Center mall garage because it generally is the cheapest. It will probably fill up quickly because of this. It is probably about 5 or six blocks from lucas oil. Even closer to the convention center and even closer to Caddilac Ranch where a lot of alumni events are taking place. It is underground and only one is open 24 hours a day.

If you're staying downtown you won't need a car all wknd.

I live here. Let me know if you have questions.

Staying across from Lucas Oil. Parking my car Friday, not moving it until Sunday. I'll walk to others tailgates and the bars
