First off, I absolutely despise Illinois and losing to them chaps me greatly. However, if you would have told me yesterday afternoon that Iowa would have a good look at a 3 from Kris Murray for the win, I would have been really happy about that. In retrospect, obviously the FT line killed us. Looking to the postseason (more focused on NCAA tournament), I'm curious on what we learned from that game as it pertains to the Hawks.
I really thought a big difference in the second half was the game got much more physical and that is going to favor Illinois against this version of the Hawkeyes. However, NCAA games tend not to be that physical and before the game got to that level of physicality, the Hawks were in control. Heck, if they make FTs they still win. Am I just setting myself up for disappointment for the NCAA tournament? I feel like the Hawks are set up to get to the second weekend.
