I'll preface this post by saying that, with a few weeks to go until kick-off, I'm polishing my hawkeye goggles on a very regular basis, but after watching the media day interviews, did anyone else get a greater sense of excitement from the coaches and players this time around?
For you football coaches, former players, and insiders out there - Do you get the same sense of renewed energy this season? And if so, how important of a factor can this be?
I'll also add that everyone seems very confident in C.J. I've heard multiple players comment on his "Canon" of an arm and leadership this summer. Will better team leadership and chemistry, better training facilities, and increased excitement/energy caused by the new facilities/leadership provide the spark that Iowa needs to be a contender?
