Very disappointing last 2 games, but they have not quit and neither will I. (I do think they quit last night with about 4 to play.)
That is not a terrible Wisconsin team......this is drama queen stuff. This Wisconsin team has beaten a good Maryland team, a highly ranked Marquette team, lost to Kansas by 1..........etc.what color is the world you two are in right now?!?!
That's TWO losses to a TERRIBLE Wisky team.
There is nothing encouraging at all about that performance.
They are terribleThat is not a terrible Wisconsin team......this is drama queen stuff. This Wisconsin team has beaten a good Maryland team, a highly ranked Marquette team, lost to Kansas by 1..........etc.
We simply missed a lot of open shots....WAY more than we usually do. We shoot a reasonable percentage and we win that game. We just have to hope the Hawks come out of this 2 game shooting slump very quickly. If they do, this team is very dangerous.
It's not a 2 game shooting slump. It's a season-long road shooting slump. The team rarely shoots a decent percentage on the road. Their road EFG% and 3 point % are some of the worst in the entire country. The team will likely shoot fine and beat MSU and Nebbie at home and lose handily to Indiana. It is not in any way a dangerous team once it leaves the friendly confines of Carver Hawkeye Arena. That is not a terrible Wisconsin team......this is drama queen stuff. Wisconsin played awful for an entire half, essentially begging to lose. That is not a terrible Wisconsin team......this is drama queen stuff. This Wisconsin team has beaten a good Maryland team, a highly ranked Marquette team, lost to Kansas by 1..........etc.

Tony played hard. This team has indeed quit - at least night they sure did. How about Kris getting after that board in the first half? Players arguing with each other. Connor more worried about being a coach than player. PMac off in la la land. You never know which backcourt including Sandfort is going to show up on any given night.
Filip is the only guy who seems to care consistently - day in, day out.
Many of us are as vested in this team as they are in themselves right now; which is next to nothing at this point.
Wisconsin played awful for a half.....you mean the turnovers that we forced?Wisconsin played awful for an entire half, essentially begging to lose.
All Iowa had to do was perform at an “OK” level to win easily.
It was so, so bad on our part to lose to that team last night. WTF.
You can whine and cry about it if you choose....fortunately the young men on the team and the coaching staff won't do that. They will get back to work and come back to compete against these tough teams down the stretch. They are terrible
No excuse to lose to them twice.
You can go ahead and try and paint it any way you want but this is a bad loss.
More like when the 3's from the corner. Someone missed a player and they were all uncontested shots. The wind went out of the sails with 5 minutes left.
what color is the world you two are in right now?!?!

It's not a season long shooting slump if they shoot the ball well at home. If you are saying that it is a season long shooting slump on the road, that has some more credibility to it HOWEVER the last to games (the slump) are well below our on the road shooting average for the entire season. It's not a 2 game shooting slump. Only for that game. The wind went out of the sails with 5 minutes left.
That's exactly what I said and their road EFG % and road 3pt% supports that assertion. Nobody cares if you and your hot takes quit. Go for itVery disappointing last 2 games, but they have not quit and neither will I. (I do think they quit last night with about 4 to play.)
Offensively, we are terrible. Worst in 22+ years. Defensively we're fine. That is not a terrible Wisconsin team......this is drama queen stuff. This Wisconsin team has beaten a good Maryland team, a highly ranked Marquette team, lost to Kansas by 1..........etc.

He's talking about on the road, and thats a fact. Once we get into tourney play, be it the B1G or NCAA if we even make that, those are ROAD games, and we're shooting low 20% for the season on the road from three.....It's not a season long shooting slump if they shoot the ball well at home. Woulda, shoulda, coulda….Iowa basketball under the Franwich. That is not a terrible Wisconsin team......this is drama queen stuff. This Wisconsin team has beaten a good Maryland team, a highly ranked Marquette team, lost to Kansas by 1..........etc.

When you're out of gas, you're out of gas and no matter how hard you try, there's nothing you can do about it. Fran's lack of scholarship players is finally taken it's toll on the few he plays and not using Mulvey or Ogundele or any of the walk-ons to give the starters a break is the end of this years team.Very disappointing last 2 games, but they have not quit and neither will I. (I do think they quit last night with about 4 to play.)
Your thread title and follow-up wording says the team hasn't quit, but then you turn right around and say they did quit.Very disappointing last 2 games, but they have not quit and neither will I. (I do think they quit last night with about 4 to play.)
Lol. Mark hasn't given up!!! We shouldn't eitherIs this a spoof thread? Because otherwise I cannot stop laughing.

So which is it?
“Not quit” is such a cliche it means absolutely nothing.
Agreed.Lol. Mark hasn't given up!!! We shouldn't either
I along with Hawkeye fans everywhere would like to thank you for your dedication to the cause.Very disappointing last 2 games, but they have not quit and neither will I. (I do think they quit last night with about 4 to play.)
I will not quit cheering for them but it is very disappointing to slide from a chance to beat jNW and tie for 2nd place and then lose again with such bad shooting again.Very disappointing last 2 games, but they have not quit and neither will I. Hope they don't bring the shooting slump back CarverIt's not a 2 game shooting slump. It's a season-long road shooting slump. The team rarely shoots a decent percentage on the road. You expect them to lose one, eh?. That's a huge change for you, as I have never seen you predict an Iowa loss.I think they quit on that game last night with about 4 to go (went from 6 to 12 without much resistance).
I don’t think they’ve quit on the season. I expect them to go at least 2-1 to end the regular season.
Well, it's been a road slump and the Hawks haven't shot horribly or lost at home since that EIU debacle 2 months ago. I'd look for them to shoot it well.Hope they don't bring the shooting slump back Carver
Looked like crap at OSU. Looked good at home against OSU. It's also worth noting that that first OSU game was the Buckeyes only win over the past 2 months and it wasn't much of a contest. They are 1-14 over that time frame.I will not quit cheering for them but it is very disappointing to slide from a chance to beat jNW and tie for 2nd place and then lose again with such bad shooting again.
And damn they looked so good against OSU.
