Teasdale

Pretty sure his is just a sophomore but complete beast of a sophomore! Probably plan "B" for psu if they don't get Lee...

No. Teasdale projects to 141 imo. Lee to 125. Both are plan A type of guys for any number of teams.

Been following him for several years, as he's been in the same Fargo bracket as the son of a friend of mine. Very impressive young wrestler, indeed. Hopefully we keep the Young Guns momentum building and he becomes a Hawk in a few years. Way too early to speculate, but I certainly wouldn't count out Iowa. I'd guess it will be another Iowa vs. PSU square-off for his services.

Teasdale is phenomenal and may be as big a recruit as Lee by the time coaches can start contacting him. He'll have his choice of most of the top programs. He's made plenty of visits to Iowa City and Carver already, but not near as many as he has to State College or Rec Hall.

I am assuming the kid he wrestled in that video is a pretty good wrestler hisself, impressive.

Teasdale isn't "plan B" for anyone: He is a great wrestler who is only getting better, and will be a huge get for WHOEVER he chooses.

The kid to keep your eye on is Brian Courtney from Athens, who beat THREE returning champions at the PIAA finals in Hershey. He would be a huge get for anyone, and he is totally under the radar because of Lee and Teasdale.

Courtney wrestles for Bison Legend (a District 4 club) and Athens HS. It's just south of Binghamton, NY on the PA/NY border. Not far from Ithaca - which, from rumors, is his likely destination for college.

Kollin Myers' older brother Korbin finished 2-3-1-2 at PA states; his losses at states were to Darian Cruz and a pair of 1-pointers to Mickey Phillippi. He's now a freshman at Edinboro.

Their high school head coach Rod Wright is a PA legend, a 3x state champ who wrestled at Edinboro for Mike DeAnna and Bruce Baumgartner.

Does Courtney wrestle for Young Guns?
As Dice said, he wrestles with Bison Legend out of Bucknell. That club won 2 Flonats titles (Courtney, Jaret Lane) + a 2nd (Trent Hidlay) and a 3rd (Gavin Hoffman), plus a Dapper Dan win (Hayden Hidlay).

Young Guns works out at 5 facilities in the western half of PA. The closest to Courtney is over 3 hrs away. For reference, the closest to Lee and Teasdale is 4.5 hrs from Courtney -- and he'd pass 3 other Young Guns sites on the way there.

I was watching Courtney on Flo and also heard them say he was headed to Cornell.

Good lord I hope not.

If he's not in Blue and White, or Black and gold, then something went wrong.

I can't stand that school, and their big pompous "C" letters.

First I heard that Athens is "just south" of Binghamton. It is, however, due south of Ithaca (about 40 minutes).

Being a medical sales guy - Binghamton is my point of reference for that part of NY. As it would be for most people that are not from that area with 81 running right through it. Easiest access. But TECHNICALLY you are correct - it is also about 30 miles west of Binghamton. I'm sure the people of Iowa are grateful to you for pointing that out, lol.

You're the one who first brought up the geography stuff in this thread, right? o_O

Yeah, what good is a Cornell degree.
Clueless comment.

Actually, the degree's value depends on the college at Cornell. Not all of the colleges are equal. There is a split between "Endowed" and "Contract" colleges. From what I can gather and having a brother and sister-in-law who graduated from Cornell, the Endowed are more selective and prestigious.

My son and I were at the Cornell/Okie State match and we were checking out where the wrestlers were enrolled. If I recall correctly, virtually all the wrestlers at Cornell are enrolled in one of the Contract colleges (Agriculture and Life Sciences). An exception is Rob Koll's son, who is in the School of Engineering. But there are not a lot of exeptions. Out of 15 wrestlers on the roster that I clicked on, 14 were in AaLS.

Some of you have way to much time on your hands. I mean going and checking on what each wrestler is majoring in like that means a lot to you or what ever........just saying

We were there about an hour before the match started. What else do you want us to be doing? I didn't bring a book along.

If there's an easy Cornell and a hard Cornell, and they both allow you to put "BA, Cornell" on your resume at the end of four years, I have to give kudos to the guys at the easy Cornell. In a way they seem smarter. At least more efficient.

Gavin Teasdale. Stud from PA. THink he's a junior now...
Anyone know what his plans are for college? Recruiting rumors?
We can only hope he has enjoyed watching Dennis and Ramos make the finals. Too bad Metcalf didn't complete the trifecta.

There is a T shirt cornell also, which Dake attended.
