He was a good official but he always had Tommy Izzo in his back pocket. He would never T that guy up.

I just worry about the state of officiating in college basketball. There are a lot of good ones leaving and I’m not so sure on the new guys. You still have the good ones on Eads and company. But damn there isn’t a lot of new blood coming into the ranks.

He was a decent official call-wise but like Joe West of MLB, he loved to instigate conflict. This alone makes him a bad official. He was all about making sure you all knew he was there.
