If Minnesota gets bench scoring, they will be a dangerous team in the NCAA tourney. It would not surprise me if they make the Sweet 16. Not a gopher or Pitino fan, but give him credit for realizing he needed to tap into the grad transfer pool to improve the team. The kid from UW-Milwaukee (Springs I think) is really good.

There were some awful calls last night on MI. No clue what the MI bench said to warrant a T at that stage of the game, but it's clear officials, at certain points in games, are really focusing on on moving screens. You don't see any called and then a half dozen in a 3-4 minute stretch.

I haven't see Teddy officiate an Iowa game since he handed the game to MSU in the Big Ten Tournament a couple of years ago. I know it is said all the time, but it truly was some of the worst officiating I've ever witnessed. Like Fran, I about got myself thrown out of the United Center that game. Pretty sure Teddy has been blackballed from Iowa games since that game.

Yeah, I was at the United Center for that game. We had MSU fans around us apologizing saying Iowa was getting screwed.

If you have ever noticed, Teddy V doesn't do many big ten games early on, but he always works his way into the mix during Big Ten play, so then he can work the Big Ten Tournament. Just watch, he will do a bunch of games at the BTT.

Also, I laugh at people who say there are no "Big Ten" officials, yet, watching games around the Big Ten, you see the same damn officials night in/night out. It is rediculous when you see an official at the beginning of the game, and you already know how the game will flow, and usually be able to predict the outcome.

I mean, we'll be a barely above.500 team with zero chance of winning a national title, but sure bring him back on in for the sake of just getting to play basketball..........
