Connor and Jordan have been terrible this game. Perkins and Toussaint were the clear better options once he put them in. Fran let the game get away with Connor and Jordan. Completely opened up our D and neither can get an offense going.

he becomes a liability. Connor plays because he gets
credit for giving assists to Garza. Connor has no offense.

We never really developed Keegan Murray to his full
potential as a freshman. He deserved more minutes than
he got. Connor does not deserve 25 minutes a game.

Bottom Line: Good coaches use talent in the starting
lineup not nepotism.

JoBo was the worst today. Connor was not good but there is a reason Garza hasn't scored much in the second and that is because Toussaint can't get him the ball. Perkins should have played more, though.

Finishing #5 in a meaningless poll probably has little to no bearing on how most fans feel on whether he deserves to be fired. Most fans expectations are not centered around where their basketball team finishes in a subjective poll, at least not the primary expectation. Sure, it's nice to have on a resume, but it doesn't close many deals.

Winning (or consistently contending for) conference championships and making deep runs in the NCAAT are what most fans want. That is how they measure success.

Unfortunately, it's now a moot point, since our genius AD went ahead ad gave him an ill-timed extension prior to the start of the tourney.

Fran will be 62 in May. He's been effectively extended to his retirement. I don't dislike Fran, and he certainly deserves credit for the positive things he's brought to the program. I also agree that the AD is incompetent at his job. The only thing he does well is get big donors to cough of their dough, which must be 90% of what his job performance is weighted on otherwise he would have been gone long ago.

As for team performance, I'm also with you in that I could care less what the final team ranking was in some last regular season poll. As we can see this year it's even more meaningless, if that's possible, because it's based almost entirely on beating a bunch of other underperforming B1G teams. NCAA tourney performance remains THE most important measuring stick. By far.
