and a friendly contest between Hawkeye Report posters, Wrestling for Life is able to provide 3 scholarships for the High Altitude Wrestling Club "World Champion Camp" featuring Kyle Snyder. The camp is May 7, 2016 at Southeast Polk High School from 8:15 to 12:30. Additional details are available in another thread.

You can nominate a young wrestler for a scholarship at jbrown@wrestlingforlife.org. Selection criteria is:

1. Middle school wrestler.
2. Less than 3 years experience.
3. Never attended a camp/clinic before.
4. Solid academic achievement.

Travel assistance may also be available.

Yes, we placed a "thank you" ad in the Division III Championships program. Others will also be receiving a copy of the ad. By the way - we gave away about 400 tickets to DIIIs.

This a a great cause, but the last time I saw Zain And Nico together, things did not turn out so well. I hope the will be some adult supervision of the black and gold variety. Don't want to seem paranoid, but is it possible that Carlos Sandoval could be sending them over to do some scouting?

Nominations closed last night. Several quality young people were put forward - so many that we added a fourth scholarship. Notifications and camp enrollment forms are going out today and tomorrow.

We are working with another camp provider to, perhaps, provide additional scholarships for camp experiences in Iowa, Illinois and Indiana.
