That Bald headed Punk

Also the same guy Fran recruited and didn't offer. Clearly couldn't use that guy on the team.
True, which is why he probably plays so well against us. But in Fran’s defense, he didn’t have great offers coming out of HS and most fans on here get ticked when we of when we offer a white unathletic tweener. He would have been in the recruiting class with Fleming and Hutton, so it definitely was a miss by Fran.

An opposing player that’s easy to hate, but you got to respect his tenacity.

Did you all know that Boudreux ( the guy with the receding hair line you all hated)was recruited out of high school by Iowa then they backed off of him so he went to Dartmouth and graduated 2 years early and has been at Purdue for two years. He had kind of a chip on his shoulder last night about it. Just an interesting tidbit. You all have a very good team...

Yes, we're well aware.

I am an Iowa fan but that 'bald headed punk' you speak of out rebounded Fredrick, McCaffery, Toussant and Weiskamp COMBINED. Perhaps the team is starting to run on fumes.

Rebounding use to be a mainstay of Iowa basketball. This guy so many on here seem to have an issue with plays with that chip on his shoulder that some of our own in the past use to play with. Rebounding requires an attitude and unfortunately I see more often than not shots go up and people are heading for the other end without any hint of following their own or anticipating anothers shot being missed. Wasn't fun to watch it take place but there's a reason Iowa got beat. Purdue wanted it more and it showed on the court.

Getting back on defense is what most coaches want their guards to do after a shot.

The issue was not boxing out on the defensive end.

Iowa players never look behind them to find a man to put their body on. They just watch the ball.

Even a garbage team like PU will beat you if you allow that many second chance shots.

Boudreaux is playing with house money. An Ivy League degree in three years. Two years at Purdue. He's lived a life exposed to the rich and powerful (Mom) is the CEO of Anthem insurance. Top it all with a good work ethic and likable personality.

has about 10 fouls and over the back rebounds that have not been called. Someone needs to elbow him hard in his ugly face!
Even casual observers of B1G basketball would agree that the "baldheaded punk" is an "over-achieving relentless rebounder who happens to be follically challenged". Evan Boudeaux also has earned (2) undergrad degrees in History and Technology and is currently pursuing a Masters in Leadership

My guess is @wbrhawkeye is still the asst mgr at Pizza Ranch on Hwy 1 and angry he was cut from his 7th grade team

There doesn't seem to be very many set plays for CJ. JW gets most. CJ is a better shooter and option.
Just a casual observation based on two games but it doesn't seem that Fran runs anything other than get it to Garza and when that breaks down you've got a lot of guys standing around. I've seen no hard cutting or screening to get an open shot. Seems like I'm seeing shooters that are OK if they can spot up for a wide open shot but don't do well if closely guarded.

Fran is probably one of the best at drawing up out of bounds plays. He’ll draw up a play right before half, which usually goes to Wieskamp. During the games, you’ll see sets for Fredrick and Wieskamp, but yeah the primary option has been Garza. Hard to argue against that.

Good for them...I’ll still chuckle if/when Purdue doesn’t make the big dance.

Pretty much true.

Purdues double team was the most effective we've seen all year.

Most of the time we just have Garza go one on two and it still works ok.

Iowa has no clue how to take advantage of a player being left unguarded.

No body cuts to the basket, and Garzas not much of a passer so they just reset and get a jump shot from one of our 3 or 4 non shooters that are being purposely left open.

Lots of childish jibberish from both Iowa and Purdue fans. Show some respect. I would love for the bald guy to play for Iowa. Case closed and grow up.

Hope you're near retirement or you may end up working for him in the future unless you're still working your way up to fry cook.
