That Maryland game better be a SELLOUT

Hate to be that guy but another winter storm on its way that night.

IF THERE ISN’T 15,500 BUTTS IN THE SEATS THEN WE DON’T DESERVE CRAP
Iowa truly has an amazing chance of finishing top 6 in conference, if the fans don't show up for a top 25 ranked showdown where Iowa could conceivably finish in the top half of the conference in a year that they thought they might win the Big10, well jee golly I don't know when they will

Lol, took me a minute. I agree.

When is it coming? I heard Tuesday (3-5 inches), but everything I’m seeing online shows Wednesday.

I’ll be there if the roads aren’t bad.
I hope that’s the case. I was seeing Tuesday night. Maybe it’ll be late overnight.

Still looks to be over 3000 tickets available. It wont sell out.

Weather should not be an issue....snow (less than an inch) coming in later....after the game

Even with a sellout, the layout of Carver is a joke. It must be impressive to the television audience to see all the aisles and the open space behind the baskets.
Yeah, there are so many 15000+ seat venues out there these days to compare with...

If Carver has 3,000 empty seats, then Hilton had better have 3,000 empty seats!

Eastern Iowa Hawk b-ball fans have been pathetic for decades now!

What does ISU have to do with anything? They have better basketball fans than us. Not really debatable. Our empty seats in Carver for over a decade speak for themselves.

I could argue the fact that the states largest metro population being just 40 mins south of Ames makes attendance during a week night much easier for them...but they’re still a more loyal and supportive group of basketball fans.

I was just checking the tickets for sale. There are several thousand seats available. There is no chance for a sellout.

Tell me where you are sitting Kuwait and I’ll stop by and chat! Same to Rockymountain!
I can’t make it. It’s a work night, the cost of tickets, the kids have school tomorrow, & don’t even get me started on the tip off time!

Oh, I almost forgot, the weather.

I"d also throw out there that there are district basketball games going on tomorrow night as well. Just another thing that may take a few hundred fans away.

Also out here in western Iowa the snow is supposed to start around 6ish. We are projected to get 6-10"...

I agree...let students in free...who cares if those tickets to students aren't bringing in a few bucks...it'll pay off on TV etc...plus, they may make an extra $50 on soft serve ice cream :)

I’ll be sitting in my living room. I am down in San Antonio, TX. My job WAS supposed to take me to Omaha 2 weeks ago, but that got changed the day before I was to leave. May get to go next month.

What's the going rate for season tickets? Live in TX now but might make the jump back to Iowa here soon...if people don't want to participate I will.

People don't like Fran - If the coach was more likeable/personable this game would sell out....To his credit he's changed his sideline demeanor this year, but I think it was too late for some fans.

This may be the biggest myth hovering over the Hawkeye sports world. Put a good product on the floor against a good opponent and Carver will rock - I've seen it happen at NIT games. The women's game Sunday is another good example. Carver was rocking on Sunday when the women took down Maryland...….The average age of the crowd at the women's games is probably 5-7 years older than the men's games...
