This list is 4 years old. I understand and enjoy shitting on ISU, but come on, we need to try harder than that.
I mean I only noticed it when I started reading through it and realized that half the uniforms on there were no longer being worn.
25 Ugliest? Hell, Oregon has more then 25 ugly unis don't they? They could be the entire top 25 of Uglies themselves.

Ha ha, Minnesota makes the list at number 15. Said their jersey was "really ugly". I agree.

I believe Iowa has more to concern themselves with when it comes to Iowa State than the look of their unnis
I'm really not too concerned with iswho...they won't sneak up on anybody this season.
Have to agree Scott. I've seen quite a few uni's way worse then some on this list, and several by the mighty Ducks of Oregon, who can't seem to figure out what their school colors are. Saw them on the dreaded Sportcenter one time, wearing BLACK and PINK, and had to catch the whole segment to figure out who the HELL that was on the screen. Almost as bad as that Neon yellow they wear from head to toe sometimes. Ridiculous.......
Maybe it's me, but Ohio State has some ugly alt. jersey's, as well as Nebraska. I would have them on the list before many of the teams there. Hawks will never have flashy unis, but we will never make the ugliest. I think we were listed in the top 25 of the best jersey's weren't we? Or am I drinking to much cough syrup?Have to agree Scott. No I think your correct, and also one of the top ten classic, and most recognizable helmets in football as well. Helmets are iconic no question, but the jerseys and pants are just a copy ripoff of the Pittsburgh Steelers...
I actually like Nebraska's traditional unis, the ones I thought were ugly had these funky looking diamond plate looking numbers. You probably know them better then I. The Steelers/Hawkeyes unis I like. Plus, I like the fact that Hayden Fry liked them, and it was the Steelers owner who sent him a complete uniform. Nowadays, everyone is politically correct and I doubt many owners would do that today. Hell, Wisconsin threatened to sue a local Iowa HS over the "W" they had been using patterned after the Badgers W a few years back.

I have no comeback, because what could be more unique than Nebraska's red and white, which looks the same as dozens of other teams. Was UNL the first football team to wear standard red and white?

It's rare that I would ever agree with Steve Daece, but he nailed it commenting on Iowa's alt unis last year. We destroy the flagship program of the BiG on nationally TV and we are wearing alt unis. Didn't show off our brand. I agree.
I just know that when I am flipping channels watching football on Saturday, I recognize Iowa as soon as I see them, as does a vast majority of people who follow college football. When I come to the Nebraska game, I don't know if it's Wisconsin, Maryland, NC State, Western Kentucky or a number of other teams until I see a closeup of the helmet.
Yeah, Iowa clearly emulated the Steelers' uniforms.....about 40 years ago, and have hardly made any deviations since then. They are uniquely Iowa in the college football world.
The "you ripped off the Steelers" shtick is an old and tired argument. Almost as worn out as your 1997 Husker season VHS tape. Try something new.
These ugliest helmets/unis polls are always so stupid and biased. If it's an article from SEC country, B1G and Pac 12 teams are all over this list, and vice versa,
Iowa State has worn some ugly alternate uniforms before, but the Jack Trice uniforms are not one of them. Anyone that knows the Jack Trice story can appreciate the significance of the design. The only thing I don't like is the rules that require the large number, which wasn't part of the Trice uniform. I didn't care for the white either, but not sure what you can do against that background to make them clearly visible per the rules.
The fact that there is a story to them, even as significant as the Trice story doesn't exclude them from being ugly.
But rarely do you find such a disconnect between the opinion on that site and that of the fan base that cites the Jack Trice uniform as one of their favorite of all time. It was so popular they sold clothing embracing that design.
Similar to the Trice story in the fact that they sold clothing embracing that design doesn't mean that it wasn't ugly, check with Scheels and see what they sold of that design. Iowa had the same thing with one of their previous throw back jerseys, the agreements are set long before production, buys have occurred long before people look at the uniform and go wth is that look?

I believe the Steelers actually sent Hayden Terry Bradshaw’s super bowl winning jersey and told him he could copy it all he wanted. Not a bad way to start building a program back up if you ask me.
They picked uni combo from 2015? Lazy...Of course the Princeton comments show that the author is probably a stage costume designer that decided to write this article between plays...
Funny that they list Indiana's uniforms twice, but Not Nebraska.
