The awards are starting to roll in, Keegan officially AP 1st team All-American Iowa's 3rd straight

Seems kind of stupid to not wait until after the BTT to give out the POY…Keegan should have won it regardless, but figure the tourney in and it’s not even close really
That's too hard. Like waiting until the tournament plays out to seed teams.

This. As far as I am concerned, the year's not over until they stop playing. Anything else is arbitrary.
Everyone knows that Davis only won it because of where Wisconsin finished in the B1G standings. Not even waiting for the BTT to happen is ridiculous. Keegan was the best player with the best stats that led Iowa to the B1G Tournament Championship. It's not even close. He deserves that award.

Not sure voting now would change the result, even though it should. The Johnny Davis game at Purdue really set the narrative that he is the Big Ten’s POY. The AP voting for All American (set forth below) tracks this, though I don’t know when the AP All American voting opened and finished for the 60 AP voters.

Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky, 6-9, 255, Junior, Lubumbashi, Congo, 17.0 points, 15.1 rebounds (59 of 60 first-place votes, 298 points)

Johnny Davis, Wisconsin, Sophomore, La Crosse, Wisconsin, 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds (57, 294)

Ochai Agbaji, Kansas, Senior, Kansas City, Missouri, 19.7 points, 5.1 rebounds (46, 270)

Kofi Cockburn, Illinois, 7-0, 285, Junior, Kingston, Jamaica, 21.1 points, 10.6 rebounds (42, 259)

Keegan Murray, Iowa, 6-8, 225, Sophomore, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 23.6 points, 8.6 rebounds (39, 248)

Yeah, this idea that the best players play exclusively on the best teams has permeated all of sports, both college and pro. Dumb as hell

Besides, Iowa ain't chopped liver either.
