The Beginning of the End of ISU wrestling

The best thing Dresser could do for the program is to retire
Even following the disaster that KJ was, I'm not seeing a whole lot of improvement from KD.

ISU had huge holes at 125/133/165/174 this year.

And the dual schedule was an absolute joke.

The casual/bandwagon fans might be excited, but the old timers know Dresser is struggling. Add to the fact that there will be a gaping hole at Hwt next year.

The Big 12 had 9 All Americans and ISU had 3 of them. So relatively speaking?

Mitch, you know I love you buddy, but if I'm being honest, this wasn't your best work.

I've just come to expect so much more from you and your trolling.

I read the criticism of Terukina. There's no progress there. 133, though suffering an injury at Nattys, wasn't scoring at Nattys anyway. 165 has been a hole since KD took over. Devine/Broderson aren't candidates to AA. Projecting Schon to place next year is a pipe dream.

I said "a whole lot of improvement". Dresser had a very low bar to clear. Padding the dual schedule with a bunch of nobodies might fool the casual fan/bandwagoners, but you and I both know ISU underperformed again this year in Detroit.

KJ could recruit, but he couldn't develop high schoolers. Dresser has the resources, but outside of Carr, who's made the big leap? You hanging your hat on Bastida and Coleman? And purging the room to clear a path for Parker certainly didn't pay dividends. And I'm even going to mention the results of a supposedly healthy Degen.

But it's a new year. I see all the hopes are now resting on Rojas and Swiderski. It gives fans new hope and takes pressure off the staff for another year of mediocrity.

That's not a troll's perspective. It's an outsider's objective view of the current state of affairs.

FYI... VTech, Mr. Dresser's last school, finished in 8th place. Robie was the glue that made them relevant.

Big 12 wrestling is like talking about how cool your 1989 Mustang is. They've been passed by the ACC, and arguably, with the strides Oregon State has made, perhaps soon the PAC12. I'm astonished how bad Okie State has become. OU is a lost cause. UNI????

9 AAs out of 80 total for the Big 12 is flat out, embarrassing. If he wasn't a legend, John Smith would be in trouble. But he's earned the right to leave on his own terms.

I'd love to read the Cowboy forum, but I've been banned. Imagine that?:)

But you've given ISU fans a foot to stand on... 33% of Big 12 honorees! And when you think about it, having Dresser in Ames is a win/win. Iowa fans are thrilled he's the HC there and many, not all, Clone fans think he's doing fine.
