Poverty in Argentina is up to 53% or so since Milei's austerity cuts and 18% are in extreme poverty. Let's see how well cuts like that translate here.

Fox News commentators are describing the current economic downturn as a "hangover" from decades of government overspending and believe all is well because Trump is fixing the economy long term which will require some short term pain.
In MAGA reality, this is what's being taught. So, they believe it and no economic crash will change their view that Trump is doing the right thing.
Everyone has a pain point, padre. When you have no food, can't afford shelter and are brokesville, things get interesting. We are arriving at that point. Very few Americans have large liquid cash reserves or savings. Interesting times ahead.
They can do that, but even for them it will become absurd soon. Again, hunger pangs control and eventually the proletariat will revolt.
