The Clowns lose their second Safety

I'm not sure why I'd be excited one way or another, and if anything I feel for them. That's tough

ISU actually having a decent class. Ahead of Nebby.
That really not true. The Clowns are only a head of them because of the number of commitments. Clowns have 19 and Cornsuckers have 15. Nebby has four 4* and ave star rating 3.31 - The Clowns have zero 4* with ave star rating 2.74. That is not even close. Nebby has a lot better class.

How many have signed their LOI?

Can’t be, isn’t CMC the best coach in the history of NCAA football? Or maybe just another coach at isu that isn’t any different then all the isu coaches that came before him.

In fairness, I think he is a pretty solid coach. As an Iowa fan, I'd rather he moves on and they take another rah rah Brewster or Fleck type coach. What will be interesting to see next year is how they do after they graduate their quarterback and top offensive threat. They skirted by most games throwing lob balls to Lazard and hoping to go over a 5'10" CB or get a PI call. They're going to have to change up a big chuck of their offense next year.

I think Campbell is a good coach. isu had has good coaches in the past but it didn’t matter. Eventually the disadvantages isu has simply can’t be overcome on a consistent basis. So what happens is a good coach figures that out and bolts or he bangs his head against the wall and ends up being fired.

Just the way it has been for isu for over 50 years.

Montgomery is an absolute beast(wouldn't be surprised if he left after next year), but ISU definitely loses quite a bit. Kempt(not sure if he'll get 6th year), Lazard, Ryen, couple OL, Lanning, Cotton-Moya, Trent, Edwards, Wilkerson, Waggoner, and both punter and kicker.

In what way? They bring back a top 10 RB and three receivers at 6'4+, seems to me it will be the exact same.

You are right, but alot has changed over the last 50 years and the direction has turned. We have a good coach. He came in with his own people. He has a system that works. He is recruiting his own now and getting results. He won't need 4 star players to win at ISU. This coach is not a one and done, he is here for a while. Who knows how long? But the culture has changed at ISU for the better. Next years game in Iowa City will be a fun one to watch.
Good luck in your bowl game.

They lose their best QB (no chance on a 6th year) and the one they bring back looked OK against a horrible Baylor team and below average to average at home against a good OSU team (17/28, no TDs and a pick).

They lose their top WR, and pretty much the only one who could use his size effectively to get jump sideline/endzone balls or PI calls. I'd gladly take Butler, but he has nowhere the same skill set/savvy that Lazard has.

Top offensive threat is a Sophmore and the team will be better next year.

Butler will play on Sundays so we are happy to have him for a couple more years.

I will just chalk it up to you not knowing any better and leave it at that.

You mean like all the other isu drafts picks they have had recently? Always entertaining to see isu fans tell us how little they know about football.

Keep up the great work.

I actually like Campbell and I think he is a super coach and will continue to be. I think he'll win more in the Big 12 than any coach they've had in 40 years. With that said, good coach or bad coach isn't that significant as it pertains to us. The kids that are going to go to Iowa are still pretty likely to go to Iowa and vice versa. And honestly The Iowa game was really, really important to CPR and DM, I expect MC to take a much more game by game, its a long season, we better be humming by the time we hit the Big 12 type of approach to the season. Much like KF. He will be good for ISU long term.

Now lest I get some froggy ISU fan taking offense, I did NOT say your super bowl. But only someone with very limited understanding of emotions or the human element, would deny coaches with Iowa ties like Paul & Dan wouldn't pour their heart into that game.
