They most definitely did, and her THOUGHTS, is exactly what the article was arguing against. So yes, it does have a hand in todays abortion, because it is what led the way.
Her first clinic was in 1916. She didn't start the Negro project until the late 30's. The first clinic in Harlem was in 1930. A previous factceck noted African-Americans were often discriminated against at the first clinics and were prevented from receiving birth control. Black community leaders often asked her to start clinics in their neighborhood. The quote widely used to prove she was racist simply says she wants to prevent the perception. If that quote is so widely used by the pro-life crowd to prove she is a racist it means they don't have crap to go on. And she didn't even advocate for abortions. She just pushed birth control.
