The fallacy that Margaret Sanger wanted to wipe out the black population

They most definitely did, and her THOUGHTS, is exactly what the article was arguing against. So yes, it does have a hand in todays abortion, because it is what led the way.

Her first clinic was in 1916. She didn't start the Negro project until the late 30's. The first clinic in Harlem was in 1930. A previous factceck noted African-Americans were often discriminated against at the first clinics and were prevented from receiving birth control. Black community leaders often asked her to start clinics in their neighborhood. The quote widely used to prove she was racist simply says she wants to prevent the perception. If that quote is so widely used by the pro-life crowd to prove she is a racist it means they don't have crap to go on. And she didn't even advocate for abortions. She just pushed birth control.

And I expect this from you. I am more disappointed in LC.

Your interpretation is nothing more than the typical Liberals denial of their own racist history. It couldn't have been clearer what she was aiming for. There are several black scholars and organizations that rightly criticize Planned Parenthoods heritage stemming from that of a racist, eugenics pusher. Anytime people start talking about eugenics, you best be watching out boys. Hitler, and his types LOVED that subject.

I guarantee, that just like LC said, had this been a white male with any sort of conservative background WHATSOEVER, you would be all over this like gravy on mashed potatoes.

You'd be wrong, because I wouldn't give AF what some guy did 80 to 100 years ago as it relates today's social issues.

Well I wouldn't give Air Force either. As long as it didn't pertain to the mother of baby killing, who is praised and reordered as a non-racist, feminist, disgusting and vile eugenics propaganding(would have been so much nicer had see had a propapounding) enemy of infants everywhere.

The first ones also opened in Brooklyn and Harlem. Not hard to see, whom she thought was the biggest problem in regards to her eugenics efforts.
I'm not sure Brooklyn and Harlem, especially Brooklyn, were that minority populated when these clinics opened.

Brooklyn wasnt and her first clinic in Harlem didn't open until 14 years after the Brooklyn clinic.

We have already established he's versed. There is no reason to think he wouldn't be easy to get along with.

Of course it does. People should be judged against others of their time, not to the standard we have today.
I agree with that. Unfortunately, a great many people do not.

There also are time considerations. Look at the scorn and hate being heaped on people who oppose gay marriage......by people who opposed gay marriage a year or two ago.

But I don't think it applies in this case, because the issue is very simple. It is not whether Sanger's attitudes at the time were acceptable because they were widely shared. It is whether Sanger actually had the attitudes that she clearly appears to have had. If defenders want to say that her beliefs should be judged in the context of her times, that's one thing; it's quite another to deny she had those beliefs.

I agree with everything you say except the part about her views being clear. I really am surprised you have the viewpoint you do. Do you read all the pieces such as the OP and just discount them and repeat to yourself she wrote that letter so everything else doesn't matter?

No, I've read a great deal about that time period. It's pretty clear to me what her views were. And Woodrow Wilson's. And a great many others. But what's clear to me isn't always clear to everybody else.

For instance, not everyone understands that the Hawks suck, strange as that may seem.
