Count me as one of them! Intentional disinformation is a bad thing, but it's a price to pay for Freedom of Speech! Too many voices have been suppressed by slandering them as disinformation.

I don’t begrudge any administration from making a TOS request.
And yet you are arguing the other extreme, which is more dangerous imho, as it leaves the US and state and local governments powerless to stop harmful and coordinated misinformation attacks on Americans.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IN TODAY’S WORLD, THE “RIGHT” MAGA CROWD IS ALL ABOUT FREEDOM OF SPEECH and against any type of truth screening.
Many of the “anti-vaxers” here seem to disregard that Covid killed over a million Americans, arguing that these folks were going to die anyway because of primary maladies/conditions. There may be some degree of truth in that argument…..but it cannot ever be proved….meanwhile, they pandemic was closing yup the economies of the world and that situation demanded a. Cure or anti-doct for Covid be developed….Could we really sit back and let the disease proceed unfettered through the world killing more folks? The root of today’s inflation lie in that Covid pandemic….supply chains through out the world broke down and had to be re-established…The Biden Administration was able to do this in its first 6-9 months….and today, like it or not, the US economy is flourishing and employment is at near record highs….Folks are working! Things cost more…but that is what inflation does…and inflated prices have been with us for 5 years and lingers…..ask me, as I was trying to get a wood fence replaced, thinking back in 2018 prices would drop….and then in 2020 finding out fencing and posts were unavailable and work was being scheduled almost a year out….and in 3 years, the price of fencing damn near DOUBLED!……Can’t b;America that shit on “Bidenomics”…and folks who were doing home remodeling projects like I was, know what Im saying here…..

You seem to be all or nothing on this topic. The US government is the most powerful entity in the world. Many of the top officials yield immense power, and the entire world depends on their honesty. When they knowingly spread misinformation, or knowingly suppress dissent, that's way more harmful to the issue than allowing dissent. Once the credibility of the US government is destroyed, the road to anarchy begins. No, that's not a conspiracy theory. It only takes one Fauci for the cracks to show.
