"The hawks are going to knock you on your A$$, questions?"

Polasek also said something about guys taking off their pajamas and putting on their big boy pants I think. Bahaha!
Honestly, that all sounds great, and like everyone here I'd love nothing more then a return to that "Bullies mentality" for the guys in the trenches, but I want to see it, not here about it. Last season was another when we couldn't either move people on the ground, or pass block anyone in the previous season. We've had way to many injuries on the OL the last three years, which is certainly part of the problem, or it was just those guys who couldn't stay on the field, not sure which. Either way, its time for coach P. to step up his game this season, and put his stamp on the OL.

But very true KC, I want some fire and passion from our lines. Need that "let the bodies hit the floor" mentality every game. I think we are getting some more attitude from the guys we are bringing in as assistants, but Its gotta come from the top too. And finally individuals like Sherff are needed. At some point its got to be lead by an emotional leader on the field. Get After It!

I can see some of that fire (like B Scherff, and Gallery), in some of the current young guys like Wirfs and Kallenberger. Last season we had trouble just lining up and whipping ass on the OL, except the OSU game where we got them off balance early by shredding the middle with the TE's and then were able to get some key runs when we had them off balance. This was a great game plan for that game. Unfortunately in too many games recently when we HAD to run the ball late to secure a win, we've been unable to control the game with the run. If we can get that part of our game back, I think we could have a special run the next couple of years, because I can see some of the other pieces falling into place. Some nice looking athletes in the ranks of the young guns on the perimeter on both sides of the ball, but hard nose football in the trenches must remain our identity.

You don't want to here about it? How about there about it?
