Minnesota and its tiny azz little joke stadium is one of the most irrelevant sports programs on the plant. College, pro or otherwise.

I don't like the Goophs either (high school indeed), but you're wrong about the stadium. It ain't bad. Granted the bar is pretty high in the Big Ten but it's much better than NWestern, Rutgers, Purdue and maybe Maryland. Not big (a perfect match for their fan base), but at least it's a decent facility.

This kind of rah/rah stuff is great in the pre season and for the fans, but when you are getting outcoached by a Purdue team that hasn't seen many bowls in the last decade... that's a problem.

He was a big fish in a small pond at Western. He might be in over his head in the B1G. Fortunately for him... it's a situation where expectations are pretty low in Gopherville. Whether the new "athletic village" gets better players to campus is still to be determined. He certainly seems to have support from the administration at this point.

Remember how so many people said he's a REALLY good coach. When I was hearing that I was thinking that's probably not a good sign if so many people are trying to convince everyone he's a really good coach.

Neither one can throw. Mitch could at least run and go around the outside periodically, but Kill in 6 years never, ever developed a qb. Rhoda sat behind Mitch for 3 years so he must be worse. The passing game up here has been puke forever.

Iowa was 3-8 the year before Ferentz took over. Goofers we're 9-4 last year. So keep trying. And this thread has NOTHING to do with comparing our coaches records. Its about enjoying the struggling boat rower to the north. As some pointed out, his ACT was old by the end of his 1st big ten media day.

Might be time to scrap this ad campaign and come up with a new one.

Iowa has played 2 of the top 4 teams in the B1G and lost on the last play and by one score and still play Wisconsin and OSU.

Playing the four best teams in the best conference in. Football is nothing to be ashamed about.
