The myth of KF being OL guru

The announcers said it, and it is true, Wisconsin is OL University. Wisconsin, is what Kirk
would like to be.

Side note: if Wisconsin had a decent QB, they would be a great team.

As many as a school that is projected as an OL factory and have a coach considered an OL guru. To not have options other than a RS and true Fresh falls at someone's feet. Who do you think it is?

You do realize that the two tackles we're playing were not the planned backups for this season, right? We have more than the starting tackles out this year.

Are Michigan or Wisconsin playing third strong tackles on both sides?

Probably not, neither is Iowa. Jackson was second string to begin with. An OL guru doesn't get to that situation. And his offenses probably would be at least in the top 50%

How many freshman tackles is Michigan starting this week?
Michigan is actually using tempo and scheme to pass protect. Not just their OL. Here is what I am watching and it speaks volumes for why KF's offenses are garbage.
-Michigan lines up in their offensive formation, EARLY in the play clock.
-They motion the TE (Iowa has plenty of healthy TEs, no?) from the left side of the line, to the right.
-Wisconsin walks a Safety or a LB up to the side of the line that the TE just vacated. He has a free run at the QB.
-Since it's early in the play clock, the Michigan TE goes back in motion to his original spot on the LOS. He is now perfectly positioned to pick up the blitzing defender.
-The blitzing defender has no choice and no option for the free run he was looking for and the Michigan TE blocks him, easily.
-Michigan actually lined up and forced Wisconsin to expose their blitz package, without ever changing the play or using an audible.
-Amazing. Who knew?

Arkansas used a moving pocket to help protect the qb more by having him drop back for a second or two then moved to his left where the lineman had moved to give the qb more time to throw downfield. It worked too. Not sure if I've seen that by Iowa, just pointing it out.

I believe at the beginning of this season Wisconsin had 8 O lineman on NFL rosters, Iowa had 9.

The real question I have is how in the hell does Wisconsin keep getting NFL sized linemen? It's nothing against Kirk, but Wisconsin has consistently had superior offensive lines to Iowa over the last 10 years or so. Or at least it seems like it.

They have superior scheme and superior play calling. That's for sure.

Wisconsin produce more instate OL than Iowa

how many top rated OL does Iowa produce instate that are ready to play.
4* Blythe RS'd then played RG after RSSO 4* Donnal tore his ACL, Blythe earned FR AA honors
the others Scherff started as a RSSO then broke his leg against PSU the same game where Donnal tore his ACL then Iowa lost 4 more OL for the season to injuries.
last season Iowa change their OL 9 TIMES because of injuries and yet it still received the Joe Moore Award for the best OL,
Croston a walk on is now on a NFL team as a OL. this years team has lost
Legrand
Ferguson
Boettger
Myer may still play this season if he does he adds depth to the OL as he can play G or T

the toughest, most physical offensive line in the country, making it the only major college football award to honor a unit or group.

Nowhere does it say 'best' ol. No way 'best' is in the bottom half of rushing like Iowa was last year. 2-1,000 yard rushers and they were still bottom half. That award was a gift and diminished the stature of the award by naming Iowa.

List player, season and * rating for both states or STFU with your blabber! At least make a coherent effort to display both sides of your argument. Nobody can follow that post. It makes no sense.
