The myth that blue states have more crime

Blue states have stopped responding to crime, going so far as to cancel response hours. Your data is shit.

It's the same idea of "if we stop testing for covid, covid will go away".

f
False but you know that. Property crime is bad in all cities. Not just blue or red ones.

I figured there would be some excuse to spin the facts. You can't fake murder numbers nor can you omit them,

Holy cherry picked data, Batman. They bounce back and forth from cities to states and from murder rate to total murders as if they’re all the same.

Not to mention, Jacksonville’s mayor is a Democrat. Not a Republican as the article says. Lol.
Or the fact that it's old and the new data is different.

The part about there being "little information about the murders that happen in Mississippi ans Louisiana" is peak liberalism.... I wonder why those stories aren't blasted on the news even more....

Yet it's a right-biased site. The data is the data. Violent crime is worse in red states. You're just miffed because the facts don't match your opinion.

It states in the article that they followed the data up to see if the trend remained. It did. You might want to actually read the article.

In 2020, murder, per capita, was higher in states that voted red.

We are in 2024.

Now let's talk about who it is that actually murders people in those states made up of millions of people.

Here is the follow-up article. It states the problem remains even with new data. I knew you'd all go down this route as the right is fairly predictable.

Cities are not states as the op cited in the title.
Violent crime is more common in urban areas than rural. shocker. "cherry picking" urban cities to refute claims of states is laughable.
I see a lot of red in the top 10 states as the op said.

Are we only going off the title and ignore g the actual link? Is that how this works?

Because I actually clicked the link. The very first point states:
  • The rate of murders in the US has gone up at an alarming rate. But, despite a media narrative to the contrary, this is a problem that afflicts Republican-run cities and states as much or more than the Democratic bastions.
And I’m not refuting the data. I’m saying they’re being very selective and picky with it. I don’t give a shit what party the mayors or governors are. Pieces of shit are pieces of shit regardless of who the mayor is.

It was a decent effort cohawk but the dems made their bed regarding crime. When you take the don't ask don't tell approach, you are going to be told to keep your bullshit on the sidelines.
i would agree some democrat run areas stuck their heads up their a$$es regarding some nonviolent crimes but those statistics were not going in the violent crime category.

you cited cherry picking: then gave the top 10 states out of 50 (20%) but only gave 10 cities out of _____?
I don't know what the data on cities would show but I'm willing to bet if you looked at the crime int he top 20% of cities it would be closer to that state data.

It was two different sites. I did it because OP posted an article about murder rates and then talked about “violent crime” rates. As if they are the same thing. So I helped by posting violent crime stats for states and then cities.

What’s the problem? You obviously do t have a problem with all of the inconsistencies with the OP and the point he’s trying to make.

You have to be a Moron at this point to believe what the dems are trying to sell about crime.

I hadn't heard that blue states have stopped responding crime (whatever that means) but could you point to some reporting or facts to back that up?
