Sexual assault investigation and left the team. As far as I can tell he isn't playing anywhere right now.
Fun fact - Kris Murray scored more points last night than Xavier Foster did in his entire college career.
And this is why fans shouldn't get all caught up in recruiting. XF . . . wow. So many people thought that Iowa missing on him was catastrophic. Reality turned out to be just a little bit different.
DJC's college career didn't exactly pan out either.
edit to add: Obviously the reasons DJC and XF didn't work in out in college are nothing alike and DJC is still playing in the G-league. I have a ton of respect for the strength it took for DJC to break the stigma and open up publicly about his mental health struggles. Can't help but wonder how different his path might have been had he stayed close to home and had his family's support 1 hr away.

Unfortunately we will never know if those two young men would have succeeded if they had chosen different schools to attend. You hear the Iowa players talk about how the team is a family all the time and I think it shows. Maybe they would have excelled in that environment.

Nah the one that gets away will be Omaha Biliew.
It really sucks that Fran has no shot at landing one of the best players in the country.
He would be game-changing for Iowa even if he's only here for one season.
But we aren't allowed to have nice things.
All the bigger named programs are the only ones allowed to get talented kids from our state like Biliew and Harrison Barnes..............

From what I’ve heard (all rumors of course), I doubt it would have ended any differently.
I’d also be shocked if Fran didn’t reach out to Chris Holtmann in regards to Carton after his departure from OSU.
We don't have the NIL money to get Biliew. If he goes to college he'll take the money and go to Kentucky....
Can't blame McC all the time...He did get the NP of the year. Almost like winning a national championship?
