This years IOWA squad has brought every trophy back to Iowa City where they belong. A BIG congrats to the IOWA players and coaches and all of the staff and boosters and fans that made this happen. Especially to the fans that travel far and wide to other venues....and tailgate....and accept the free food and beer offered by the unassuming opposing fans.
There have been times this year that I have considered rolling around on the floor sobbing with tears of joy all the way to the refrigerator. But I usually didn't. I sometimes walked to the refrigerator and then scurried back to the couch. Like a man.
I hope the IOWA athletic department designed the new trophy case with enough room for 2 more.....we're getting kinda full over here.
