Kirk's best teams played top 20 defense and pounded the rock. Defense, check. Iowa is missing a running game, so far. Mr. Stanley will have to lead the Hawks to the B1G championship with his arm and wits.

Yes and no. He will have to lead us yes but its not like our run game is nonexistent. We are still running for 80-120 yards a game. Just haven't had the ball control we are used to. Defense is great. But Stanley might be the best QB at iowa since Chuck Long. I have confidence he will play well on a regular basis.

Brad Banks probably is but Stanley may put up significantly better numbers throwing the ball.
