Holy hell we're losing a lot of talent this year.
That's why we were all counting on winning the CFP THIS year.
Sorry, Little Debbie has had the phrase 'wait til next year' copyrighted and for their use only for many, many years now.Yup

Harris? I’m ok with it but wondered what’s up with that. Go get paid, young man. But also giving up on your teammates feels non-Hawkeye like. But maybe there are parts of the story that I don’t know about.

Someone mentioned he has been playing through an injury for most of the year that wouldn’t have time to heal before nfl workouts. Has to call it now or risk not being healthy for that. Sucks but is what it is. I originally thought eff him he quit, but this seems much more reasonable (if true).

Look at Indiana.... the greatest success story in college football with the #1 coach of the year having the dream season of a life time and they won't even win the BIG much less the CFP.
It would be so cool, (and deserved) for this to happen! Lets go Hawk Hawk Hawk fans.....
Hurkett. I actually think Max LL may be an upgrade from Craig. I had hoped for better consistent play from Allen after he stood out the first few games, but he frequently loses contain on run plays to his side of the field. I think coach Bell will clean that up before next season. We have a bunch of young DE's in the pipeline, so I think we'll be okay there. Hell might even see young Eppy 10-15 play if he's ready.
Fingers crossed that there is a bunch of talent waiting to be discovered on the team. If several of these seniors didn't come back we would have seen them this year. PP got an extra year to groom them - maybe they will be special.

Wish they could just sign dudes beyond 4 or 5 years like NFL. Its all a farce now anyway. Let a kid play 10 years if coach wants him and kid wants to do it and be paid.
I should have to say this but for the love of god nobody boo any of the seniors, this means cade or harris. After adam shada got boo'd on senior day I feel I have to say this every year.

I guess you havent realized that a whole bunch of players have played a lot of years at Iowa. It is easy to look at the hawk roster during the season.
but some people want to say that players have quit on the team
if Harris quit, he wouldn't be going thru the Senior Day ceremony

kinda goes back to the "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it."
Yes, I know, but coming out of the extra covid year it is hard to tell right now which players listed as seniors still have a year left. Some people say Hurkett and Jones both do have more playing time available. It would be nice if some of them who could would come back as we lose a lot of talent.
Look at Mich this year as they lost a huge amount of their roster and I hope they give Moore 3 to 4 years to get a few recruiting classes in there before firing him.
