I was here during the whole game. Bounced back & forth between the Nebraska insiders' game thread and this one. It's a wacky way to lose a ball game for sure, and becoming a recurring theme.

It's all good man. And you're absolutely right. For probably half of us beating Nebraska pretty much every year is about as good as it gets from a college football perspective. The hate is real and it'd be a great rivalry if you all could make it more competitive and climb down off your lame too special to be a rival of Iowa pedestal. Of course if you did then we probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. Oh well. We're not sad. We're jubilant. Seriously. Although I suppose there are a lot of sad Nebraska fans tonight. Every Nebraska fan knows that this is a Rivalry. You can't live in 2011 when Nebraska fans were just coming into the B10. We've had some absolutely batshit crazy games vs Iowa that drive me crazy.

It's the result of decades of pompous Nebraska fans showing up to educate us what a "real" program looks like. I'm only 62 so it's been going on for six decades that I can remember. Any mention of Nebraska on a message board results in hordes of husker fans descending to correct our thinking. Even ISU fans are not so doggedly persistent. It continues today, even though the last decade has been quite satisfying. That's what the deal is.
Oh, and if we are talking about the other side of that coin, that epic 2014 collapse by Iowa and the resultant events and comments by the Nebraska brass are burned in every Iowa fan's memory for eternity. If there was ever any doubt that Nebbie was deserving of contempt, that whole episode definitely erased it.
